So Mediocrity that sells is better than Greatness that doesn't? Basically ever Marvel film released in theaters IMO (outside of the X-Men Series) has been Mediocure at best - yes, that includes Spidey.

I agree. X2 was good....X1 average and X3 had potential to be great..but in the end it was average. Spidey 1 became waaaay to corny....but Spidey 2 was great IMO.

We already know the story is great written by Benioff per LR. This is no rush job at all even if it was released in 07. 08 is most likely.

Like I said.....they need to get a solid director for Wolverine....not some hack that Avi Arad picks and manipulates like Tim Story, Mark Steven Johnson, and dare I fear Jon Favreau is also.

lol, after being turned down twice by arad i don't think fincher is ever gonna direct a marvel movie unless avi comes to him, which ain't gonna happen.

Well, I doubt Wolverine will even make $200m, $170-180m most likely.

I see BB2 making $253m, high numbers. BB2 for BB is like X2 for X1.

The reason for Avi turning down Fincher is probably because Fincher wanted most of the control and wanted dumb ARSE greedy Avi to stay away. Avi can't have that can he? That man is ruining Marvels characters on the screen....

Avi single handedly ruined Daredevil. MJS made IMO Marvel's best film in Daredevil DC and Avi is a big reason why that never came to the big screen.

Elektra was also a spin-off to a not so popular film. Also Wolevrine is a very very very popular character, add in what appears to be a good skript and you got $$$.

I like Batman Begins, but it damm sure not the best hero film. the fight scenes sucked, the ending did not match the tone of the movie. Katie Holmes was good, but not a D.A. assitant among other problems with the flick.
