From BOF:

Monday, January 15, 2007 - 6:00 AM: It looks as if Sir Michael Caine was referring to a Baltimore in Ireland/UK, not Baltimore, Maryland here in the U.S. And according to "SC in the UK," it will possibly be the location of a Batmobile chase scene. Thanks to the aforementioned "SC in the UK" and "Tom" for the info...

If they can make a better chase scene from Begins then I dont care what location they do it in. Oh and keep the tumbler please...please.

Really?
Damn I was all pumped to watch it being filmed. :csad:

I really liked the chase scene in Begins, but I'm a lone ranger there. ;)

I'm thinking a police chase where he doesn't lose them easily. We know from what Nolan said the police and public are not going to be Bats-friendly in this film. Plus, methinks he isn't going to quite so reckless with the police.

- Nice waterfront as well. This has come up time and again with locations.

Batmobile chase in BB was the only action scene I could enjoy.

Isn't the bat-signal atop the gotham city police station?

The chase scene in Begins was great - in fact, the whole Arkham scene leading up to that was awesome.

I would think this new chase scene wouldn't involve the GPD, but who knows.......Gordon could be doing this whole batsignal thing without the full cooperation of the Department and the Commissioner.

I doubt he is. Actually, it'd be interesting to have a Batmobile sequence that isn't a chase per-se.

How about changing it up and have the Batmobile doing the chasing? For once I'd like Batman NOT to be on the running-away end. :o

Am I the only one who'd like to see the Batwing in this movie or the Batboat? I mean sure they were used before, but if the Tumbler was a more realized version of the Batmobile, surely Nolan could make a realized version of those two.

The Batwing I don't see much purpose for unless he travels off-country, but I can see the batboat for sure. Especially since it seems like there will be more shots of the docks.

I am thinking more along the lines of Batman chasing someone rather than being chased by the GPD. I've always wanted to see a high-speed chase scene in which Batman tails (maybe even multiple suspects) with him using all the fancy gadgetry of the Batmobile and his extraordinary driving skills to avoid incoming traffic and public property damage. It would be a good way to show how much our hero has matured since Begins.

If I was writing this chase scene, I'd have it multiple people chasing each other rather than just "X chasing Y" - as in a couple terrified of mafia characters trying to get away from the Joker who's giving chase (preferably in a Hummer that's both fast and durable) wreaking havoc along the way. Batman joins the pursuit to stop him and carnage on the road also tips off the GPD. There also might be a seperate precinct on Batman's tail ordered by a "Bullock"-esque police officer who still hasn't gotten used to Batman taking out the trash holding him responsible for the "escalation" of crime in Gotham city.

I agree, that would be good. Bats chasing Scarecrow may be? That would be a killer opener.

Damn I had all my cornerboys on the west side ready to jack the Batmobile:csad:

That has to be the least liklely place in the world you'd expect to see Batman, surely it'll be a Bruce scene if any of this is true

I'm going to assume that the whole film is not going to take place in gotham city which is a good thing. Does anyone sense another flash back scene? hahahhahaha I'm highly confident we will get some more flash back scenes which I enjoy because it gives the film a hell load of substance. I also have a feeling that this film is going to have more action then the first. New heavy duty armour, bad ass villain and of course the title says it all "THE DARK KNIGHT". That would be awesome if batman catches crane in the beggining but it would be even more awesome if they introduce harlee quinzel and she's connected to crane. Can't wait for this film to come out in 2008 I just hope that the hype is right and that they do live up to the expectations of the joker because I'm expecting to see the joker as one sick serial killing theatrical mofo...
