The Dark Knight Caine confirms Joker!

You people have to be kidding me if you seriously thought he was talking about a different film. What the hell would possibly suggest that? So what if he said "we're making the Joker" he doesn't mean the movie's called "The Joker", just that they'll be creating the character and dealing with him in the film. Seriously, some people look into this stuff way too deeply.

Some people understand in a wrong way, it's Jokerr in Batman Begins sequel... :o

Caine is the ****ing man. I'm glad the people in this thread recognize that fact.

The interview was nice too.

 He is truly a god among insects.

This Joker in the sequel thing needed any confirmation?

It seems to me that it is another completely separate movie that he is talking about, which coincidentally happens to be called "The Joker." If he was refering to the Joker being in Batman, I'd think he'd say something like "And we're going to be making the sequel to Batman Begins next year. The Joker is going to be in it" or something like that. I don't think he would call the movie "The Joker," especially since the casual movie goer might not even know who the Joker is, and I really doubt that they would call the movie that, obviously.

Sorry bud, but your wrong.

Notice how he say's WE'RE doing the Joker. In context he clearly means WE being Nolan and himself. Unless Nolan has another project coming up outside of Batman and the Exec that we dont not know about, and that the title of this film just happens to be of the same name as the villian of Nolan's next film, he IS talking about the Joker.

Also for Lord Sir Michael Caine any role that is not the lead role is a small part.

Pssh. The Joker already had his own movie.

It was called "Batman". It was made Tim "psychology" Burton in 1989.

I was expecting rynan to post one of his joker pics saying something about noobs within one of the 3 pages in this thread...

I think that would have been very appropriate here...right now..

You like Caine a bit don't you?:p

Also, I wouldn't consider his role in Batman to be a "small" part, unless they're going to make Alred's part smaller in the next film, but I really think "The Joker" he is refering to is a different movie.
What else could Michael Caine be talking about? There is not The Joker movie in the works.

He's talking about this guy and this guy alone.

This reminds me of when Kirsten Dunst confirmed Sandman, Venom and GG2.There were still people who didn't want to believe it somehow.

Are people seriously thinking that Caine's referring to a different movie? Yes they are. And they're idiots.

Really, what else could he be referring to? It's so blatantly obvious as to what he's referring to. You people need your brains examined thoroughly.

THERE IS NO "JOKER" MOVIE. ONLY DUMB NOOBS.

It's kind of a weird way to phrase it.
We're making The Joker.

Adding, using, portraying, integrating, throw in there.

But making? :)

I seriously love those pics....lmao...for some reason the old joker just looks hilarious...

I have the old Batman movie where this is from and when I watch it I laugh hysterically....usually under some form of influence, mind you

:doom:

no, I agree...it is an odd way to phrase it....

especially when bat-on-film types it as "The Joker"....with a capital T....

but this is not another movie.....at the most, this would be the title for the next Batman movie....but it won't be...I would bet the farm on that...

it's nothing more than a bunch of noobs eating too much candy and bouncing off the walls...

I always capitalize the "T" when I call him The Joker. It shows that it's his formal name.

The real question is,will the Joker be the main villain,or a minor villain.

I read somewhere he'd have pretty much as much screen time as Cillian Murphy did in BB....now I don't know if he turns into the Joker at some point and is the character the Joker is and is the Joker as well ...or is just the Joker all the way through and has no sort of transformation....

now, what confuses me is who else the focus would be on.....

but I feel that the Joker will have a huge impact on the movie....but just have only "theatrical" scenes lol...

for some reason...I just don't buy him having as small a role as Murphy did in BB....even as I type it...it just doesn't sound right...

I think he's going to have as much screen time as Murphy and Neeson (minus his Ducard scenes) together.

see....I am not sure if Ra's Al Ghul will be in the sequel...I could see him coming back in the 3rd definately.....

maybe he will be back in the 2nd....it makes more sense to have him return and have the Penguin be someone who is more Bruce Waynes rival when it comes to business and does shady work to manipulate the economy...

He wasn't saying that either Scarecrow or Ra's is going to be in the sequel - only comparing the time the Joker has in the next film to the amount of time the villians were on screen next time.

The Penguin should never be a rival to Bruce Wayne in any function of life

mhm

I'd like to see Penguin own a club of some sort where all the riffraff hang out at night. I guess I just want to hear him say "You're really bad for business, y'know that?" to the Bat after he's beat the crap out of everyone in the club.

that can work...I just see no strength in him being the type of villain we're accustomed to him being....

I see him running Penguin Corp. or something like that and trying to take over Wayne Ent. while doing dirty business and having Batman be on the trail.....or Bruce wayne using Batman to see what he's up to...

...in BTAS he was the owner of a night club. What type of villian are we accustomed to him being?

Penguin Corp. is a fantastic name for a buisness - I hope it is never used in Batman Begins 2,3,4,60 If they want to use a villian at a corporate level, use either Earle from Begins, or Black Mask.
