Battle Royale

the script summary was fake, some people said that harry is in he final battle, i know he isnt though, but i know that it will be sandman, venom vs. spidey, the fact that in the trailer spidey had black webbing around his throat with all sand on him, that im sure of.
Its real. Its imposssible for it to have gotten so many things right in the movie back in January and be wrong (Sandman Uncle Ben's killer, SPider-Man Day, Peter slapping MJ, Peter losing the symbiote at the belltower, ect) And I think that MJ holding Harry's black glove at the constructrion site means that he's there.

I'm not so sure sandman is even in the end battle. In the trailer we se sandman and spidey fighting in a sewer with a broken pipe and ALOT of water. There was also a shot of sandman being pinned to a metal grate by the force of the water rushing though it. I think that may be the end of sandman. Maybe he's not dead, I just don't think he's in the end battle.

I was wondering how the spidey vs venom thing will go, because we know that in the comics spidey never bested venom in hand to hand combat. The only way he managed to defeat him was to call upon the symbiote's weakness for him and to make the symbiote go off of eddie, apart from that he did land a few good punshes on venom. We know that from the trailer it looks like spidey gets the beating of his life. and he should, venom should be much stronger than him.

My only worry is that spidey never gets to land a couple of good hits and that venom just wipes the floor with him only to be saved by harry at the end. I mean I sure hope that spidey goes berserk on venom atleast once and puts a good fight. I want to see spidey flipping and dodging while venom tries to hit him, but I also want to see spidey punching or kicking venom so hard that he'll send him flying back atleast once during the battle royale.

i agree, i am concerned as well, venom is obviously stronger so he should dominate most of the fight but i dont want spidey to look like a pansy, he should hold his own on the defense at least and land some good blows now and then, i think that raimi knows what he is doing though, he hasnt let us down yet....

hmmm on an interesting note

Spider-man always looks much stronger than tobey is... which is good
takes out Flash in one blow (whom I'd like to see return in SM3) and GG and him go well toe to toe (which makes sense due to the serum)
in SM2 he isn't really hurt by doc ock's punches as he was by his mechanical arms, also good.. my one concern was that spidey has the power to knock doc ock out with one blow... i understand that in the comic he pulls his punches.. but in the movie there is no mention of this... sooo it was either overlooked/implied or.. they just figured doc ock was on PCP or something :P

how this is relavent:
The way the movies seem to be playing out, Spidey will be no match for sandman without the symbiote... this is an opertune time to show spidey outsmart him (water). as for venom. I don't think Venom will be insanely strong in this movie (he wasn't insanely strong in the comics primarily) I think he will be the same strength as spidey (I know he was slightly stronger than spidey in the comics.. remember, spidey has beaten him time and time again, carnage was the villains who proved to be stronger than the two)

the symbiote will grant it's host all the same abilities as spidey.

brock is bigger than peter
so even with both of them having spider-powers... brock will only have the same advantage he had against a regular powered peter fighting a regular brock.

which said a lot in the comics... but both tobey and topher are small guys (tobey being smaller). so you can see where I'm coming from.

edit: I had said Topher was smaller before... mistype

that was my theory, i think harry will be at the construction site, thats why mj is holding harrys hand and crying, i knew it all along.

of course harry is there. he dies there saving peter.

Well I agree and disagree with you on different things. On the doc ock thing I agree with you if you mean that spidey should knock him fast. and he doesn't? Well doc ock in the first place is not really even that dangerous(he shoudn't be) if we see things from a realistic point of view. Because he shoudn't even be a match for spidey since he really doesn't have super powers of any kind.

His tentacles are the only thing that can hurt spidey, but ock himself isn't super strong or anything like that,. But to make him a strong adversary for spidey they ignore the fact that he's as vulnerable as any human being and make him look as if the mechanical arms bonding provided him with super hard skin and super strong bones. Spidey hits him and he just bounces back up. I would understand this if he was the goblin because he has powers (superstrenth, agility) given to the effect of the serum, so his whole body is very strong and resistant, but doc ock only has the tentacles. But you know if they would make it completely realistic then doc ock wouldn't have even lasted the first fight.

Anyway you said venom wasn't that strong in the comics? okay in what issue was that, I mean don't take me wrong but as far as i know he has been spidey's greatest physical adversary, given his powers and his hate for spidey. I mean he's the villain that spidey has never really defeated in a fight.

spiderman always has to rely on his witt to best him, he always outsmarts venom one way or the other. Never has spidey bested venom in hand to hand combat.Yes he has put on a good fight several times but he has never defeated venom.
I want the same in the movie, I want venom to defeat spidey in physical combat as it should be. However i want spidey to put up the fight of his life and kick venom's ass at least once during the battle royale.
I want spidey flipping and leaping towards venom and kicking him in the face and venoms head bouncing backwards with the impact. That would be great, a crowd pleasing moment.

spidey did survive and put up a great fight with venom, in the comics spidey folled venom and tricked him into thinking that he killed spiderman, it was on an island and spidey ripped a peice of his costume off, put it on bones and got away and the symbiote and eddie brock remained on the island.

Oh I never said he didn't, as I say in my previous post spidey used his brain rather than his muscles to beat venom. He always puts a fight against venom but always is defeated physicaly by him. The way in which he overcomes venom is not by the way of physical strenth. That's what i was saying before.

nah, i'm thnking a construction scene is bound to have cement mix around and if sandman gets mixed in with it, that'd be a pretty decent way to off him, not washing him away in the sewer

in the spider-man movie video games tobey's voice is heard saying things like "good thing for you i pull my punches"
