Supes can hold his breath in space for a good while. Not saying that means he'd win, but he wouldn't die from being in space. He actually does it on occasion to travel. Though his lung capacity is limited (I believe it's to an hour, maybe a few assuming he's not exerting himself. If someone could provide more on this, that'd be good).

I don't give a rats ass what you THINK I'm trying to say. I KNOW what I'm saying. I merely responding to some ones else point about units sold. I didn't bring up popularity. I'll sayi it again its likely that shonen jump has outsold superman. THATS IT, thats the only point I was making.

I seriously doubt that Goku has outsold Superman in merchandising. And the number of units sold, be it comic books, T-sirts, television episodes, et. al., can be equated to popularity (and remember I have already given the illustration of the amount of intrest between the two on the Internet). Like I said before if popularity is not your point here you should not have brought up the issue of the number of books sold (because I think that is what you are trying to indicate here). if you don't care about what I think the maybe you shoud stay out of this discussion.

Look manga is read in all of Japan, bigger part of Asia, and a litle in America and Europe.
Manga in Japan is about as big as TV.
In US there are a lot of comic reader true, but nothing compared to the amoout of manga viewer in Jap.
And DB is the most sold manga through time

Are you insinuating that Gokuu would blow up the planet in order to win? If you are, then you have no grasp of Gokuu's character whatsoever.

i love dragonball z, it is the greatest action cartoon ever made.. goku is a god on the show, he beats everything (like superman) that stands in his way..but i would give ssj4 or any ssj level goku the victor over pre and post crisis superman..goku lives and breaths fighting and training...he has mastered every form he has incountered..goku has moves and techniques that superman has never seen and will be confused on how to beat him..goku is very battle wise..he doesnt need to blow up the planet..i dont think superman can keep up with battle speed, i mean look at wat doomsday did to him..doomsday to me is like cell bulked up..hes strong but his speed is compramised.and dooms day killed superman with punches whos sound shattered windows..but not buildings.... the hard thing to say is if he can beat this prime guy..i mean ive never seen him fight, all i know is what ive read about him and he seems really strong..i mean he has a 15,000 year advantage over goku in training( i consider laying in the sun gathering energy training) so he might actually win, on the other hand ive never seen what goku can do after absorbing the dragonballs, so i cant say how much his power has increased...so u really cant compare the 2, its not fair and no one has solid proof...one more point, if at the end of dragonball gt they said goku was off to train in the spirit and time chamber 4 15000 years and had unlimited senzu beans then at the end of it he had to fight superman prime, id have my money on goku

With ease if I might add.
When the Dragonball have sold 125,000,000 times 42 volumes worldwide.
But I think more people know of Supes, especially American's.

Ok SSJ4-mikeal prove it. It's easier said than done. Goku already beat superman is some random magazine, so you are painfully mistakened. Yes, i do agree that superman is mor populer though but that's about it. In japan, manga is as big as television. In American superman is more popular.

Ehh... I guess that you're aware of that Superman moved planet's in Infinite-universe, Gokou had problem lifting 40 tons...

first of all it was 40 tons x10 since he was on a planet with 10x earth's gravity so that 400 tons...100 tons on each arm and leg...and once he powered up it was like nothing

second of all that was goku at base form..since superman has no base and his power is always at full then u have to put goku at his max which is ssj4. and belive u me ss4 goku could fight with a million tons on his arms and legs...plus if they actually showed gokus power at ssj4, there wouldnt be a show....

actually south-kaioshin changed Gokou's gravity...
so it was exactly 40 earth tons...

It's wierd, when Gokou first appeared he threw a car aprox. 1 ton
And he have gotten millions of times stronger til the training after Seru saga.
Still he just could handle 40 tons...

SSj4 Gokou manage to lift half a city... When exerting to max.
Not exactly million ton's there I think...

A planet however need billion of times if not trillion as much energy.
