Best action sequence in any comic book adaptation!!!!

Yea Ghost Rider riding down that building then...BOOOOOM!!! He crashes to the ground. That was bad ass and very comic book accurate. I really don't get the stick that film gets, I found it pretty enjoyable. Cheesy? Yes. Thrilling? YES!!

Agreed. :ghost:

I enjoyed the hell out of the movie, could have done without the quips, and the jellybeans, etc, but I still heavily enjoyed it.

"Happy-go-lucky"?

MJ didnt look too happy to ME.
Yeah I always felt that the last two scenes should have been switched.
Have him swing of in love then that scene with Harry becoming the Goblin.
But instead it was reversed and I feel it lost it's intensity.

I don't get it either. However I think the beef was the villians. They were weak and really did not pose a threat they were also taken out way too quickly. In that the I agree. There is one thing that I really want to tip my hat of to and that was the way that they found a way to incorporate both of his leather jackets. The older and the newer one from both Ghost rider jackets. They way they did it was pretty smooth too.

This is what happens when the director decides he's going to come up with his own villains, rather than using some in the established source material.

I'll go see Ghost Rider 2, but they better get some better baddies in there.

great sequences in daredevil, the fight in the bar is amazing and against bullseye

Its a damn 3 way tie.

Best fights for sure were Iron Man against the terrorists in Gulmera, and HULK fighting the army in the 1st adaptation, and HULK fighting Ross in the new adaptation alongside the Abomination.

Hearing Hulk scream at the very end, made my entire room shake with my surround sound.

In my opinion that scene was one of the worst action scenes I've ever seen in a comic movie.

It was a one sided battle where those terrorists never even had a fighting chance. They shot him out of the air once and everything else was just Iron Man tossing them, blasting them with repulsor rays and shooting one lousy missle at a tank. There was never any sense of danger, it was just plain BORING!

All of the Iron Man action scenes were a little on the bland side for me.

That ridiculous scene where he catches that car and the car actually rolls over top of him, I mean is that suit of armor that small where it can actually fit underneath an audi?...come on man.

That lame part where he gently bonks Iron Monger on the head after the "icing problem" was so pathetic looking, how about a right handed helmet shattering roundhouse punch instead.

Then to top it all off how do they defeat Iron Monger?..Pepper just steps up and pushes the big red Deal or No Deal button,....weak, weak, weak.

I don't know why that movie gets so much praise, it was just slightly above average.

good points... daredevil stands out to me due to it was REAL action...

We are used to our heroes in comic books laying hands on people, not just atmosphere damage!!!

Hulk did a good job with the abomination, that was a physical fight.

I hope thor uses more of the hammer and hand to hand combat instead of a bunch of special fx. We need more physical skills being displayed... not sp fx for our heroes...(i know fx are needed sometime, but find a balance).

I think Cap will have the best fight scenes due to he has no powers and only the shield might have some cgi done when it is thrown, other than that... expect flipping, martial arts, judo throws, boxing and serious hand to hand combat!!!

People give Daredevil so much crap but I say in terms of action it blows Iron Man off the map, because like you just said (aside from the obvious C.G.I battles) it was real action.

Exactly, that "icing problem" nonsense was just....boring.

That was a fantastic fight sequence, and I'll even say the other sequence on the college campus is far better than anything seen in Iron Man.

I agree, and please don't have Thor defeat Loki with some lame Deus Ex Machina "push the button" nonsense.

I hope you're right.

Thanks for responding.

I loved the part in Iron Man when the terroists took the hostages and Tony paused and scanned each terrorist. Then all of a sudden the all drop like flies. That was just bad ass.

I'm like the look of the scene in my avvy. I know it's too early to tell really but it looks like it will be awesome. In the comics DP takes out rooms full of soldiers and goons all the time, this looks like it will be just like that. He strolls into the room and starts slicing and dicing.

And the very thing that you (and everyone else) loved is the same thing I criticize.... they all just dropped like flies,....where's the fun and intensity in that?

Yea but is shows his accuracy and efficiency. Something like 8 terrorists and he lets off 8 shots all in the head. Sick ****.

Yeah well I've seen Batman, Daredevil, plus the Punisher do more than that WITHOUT hightech state of the art body armor.....BORING.

Since when did they have a HUD come up and scan their enemies, lock onto them and then shoulder guns tap them all in the skull?

Haven't you heard? Batman is so awesome he can stop villains with nothing but awesomeness.

I have to agree that the Afgan Iron Man scene was awesome.
It was unfortunately short, but the fact that it was so easy for him is what made it so awesome. It was just pure pwnage.

I don't know, even though there's no evidence whatsoever, I just get the feeling T-clipse didn't enjoy Iron Man.

I must be an idiot to imagine such things :cwink:...

i do agree iron man was good but it didn't bring anything new to the table.

it just did the norm better than others.

the reason it probably won over people was that downey was actually humourous. That's the kinda funny spiderman should be having.

Well as I said I just felt it was slightly above average, I just don't quite see why so many people made such a big whoopdie doo about it.
I certainly don't see anything in there that would put it into best action sequence discussion. Jon Favreu just isn't an action director and it shows glaringly in Iron Man.

Take a movie like T2 which is from 1991, as old as that movie is it has way more action than Iron Man, but once again that's the difference between a real action director like James Cameron and someone like Jon Favreu, he just doesn't have an eye for action.

^I have to agree, I find Iron Man as good as most people do, and the action scene's were pretty un-exciting and poor in some cases.

I cast my vote for poor,....

As far as what the original poster asked in terms of "most accurate depiction" of a comic character in an action scene, I'm going to go with the airplane rescue with that spectacular catch in Superman Returns, It was fun and thrilling.

I think in that one scene Singer captured the true essence of why Superman is considered the greatest and most powerful superhero ever, and plus the scene itself is shot well enough to where it doesn't look like that obvious jerky looking C.G.I. like you see in all those Spider-Man movies.

People keep talking about that Spider-Man and Doc Ock fight on the runaway train like it was so awesome,...man I've seen video games that look more realistic than that rubbery looking crap.

^The plane save in SR is one of the best action scene's ever, simple as, much better than anything in the likes of Iron Man or even TDK.
