Same as fight scene but i would bring this into it as a larger pool of films could be used.

similar rules but its two tier.

Best Scene Full stop - equivalent to a 'your favourite scene'

Best Adaptation - equivalent to most comic book accurate

please state which one you are answering for to avoid confusion.

Scenes can also include action sequences in them, like harry's second fight with peter in spidey 3.

and just so i don't have to raise another thread, please also state your answer for best superhero couple in a marvel film. Which one had the most genuine chemistry between the leading roles.

mods, could you change the title to the first post title please.

much love.

I'll start the ball rolling with some honourary mentions in terms of my favourites

pete and mj's death speech at the end of spidey
harry and osborn's speech in spidey 2
dafoe's mirror sequence in spidey 1
charles and magneto's chess match at the end of x-men
the childhood flashback in the entire daredevil/dc
daredevil powering down for the night in the daredevil/dc film
spiderman chasing uncle ben's killer and learning to websling for the first time-spiey one
banner's confrontation with his father ang
any scene with ang's general ross
bruce's two scenes with betty where he explains what it's like being the hulk.
'You think you can live with it, Take it, TAKE IT ALLLLRGWER'
magneto's conversation with pyro in x2.

i'm sure there are plenty of others but none spring to mind

as for accurate, i don't know whether any of these are adaptations of comic scenes.

The scene at the end of X-2 gets me all the time. Most emotional scene of any comicbook film to date.

Is this limited to just Marvel movies or any comic book movie?

Batman Begins (the burning mansion scene)

Bruce: You've attacked Gotham before?

Ra's Al Ghul: Of course, over the ages our weapons have grown more sophisticated, with Gotham we tried a new one...economics, but we underestimated certain of Gotham citizens....such as your parents.

Done's done by one of the very people they were trying to help, create enough hunger and everyone becomes a criminal, their deaths galvanized the city into saving itself and Gotham has limped on ever since...WE ARE BACK TO FINISH THE JOB!.. and this time no misguided idealist will get in the way,...like your father you lack the courage to do all that is necessary,...if someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them......and stab them in the heart.

Bruce: I am going to stop you.

Ra's Al Ghul: You never did learn to mind your surroundings,.. justice is balanced,... you burned my house and left me for dead....consider us even.

Great stuff, intense drama and powerful dialogue.

Sorry, I had already posted before I read your "limit to Marvel" instructions.

meh, screw it

I need a mod to come clear up the title and help me move it to misc or something to encorporate all films.

The scene at the end of X-2 gets me all the time. Most emotional scene of any comicbook film to date.

Possibly the most emotional scene in any CB movie, Excellent scene.

Other Marvel notables include:

David's confession to Betty in Hulk about Bruce's Mother.

Peter Parker's confession to Aunt May about what happened to Uncle Ben.

Blade taking Neesa out to see the sun for the first time in Blade II.

And countless other I cant even think of at the moment.

Best Scene Full stop - i liked the plane sequence in superman returns and the angry superman after lois died turning the world back on it's self.

Best Adaptation - for me..either incredible hulk or iron man,but donners superman 1 and 2 are up there too!

best superhero couple - while not a couple but more a duo or a pairing...human torch and the thing in ff 1 +2 was great!!

but for a couple,couple - reed and sue - FF1 + 2

Best Scene:

The "Rain Drops Keep Fallin' On My Head" scene in Spider-Man 2.

Best Comic-To-Film Scene:

GG vs. Spidey at the end of SM1 or "Spider-Man... No More" from SM2.

I'll stick with Marvel movies for this one...

Best Scene Full stop - Ang Lee's Hulk, escape from the lab (up till the metamorphosis in San Francisco)

Best Adaptation - Iron Man, easily

Best Scene Full stop - Ang Lee's Hulk, escape from the lab (up till the metamorphosis in San Francisco)

Best Dramatic scene(Marvel): All the scenes between Rogue and Wolverine(X-Men).

Best Dramatic scene(DC) - When Lois is cracking up at the end of Superman II, just before the memory loss kiss.

Best Couple(DC) - Superman and Lois(Superman II)

Best Couple(Marvel) - Peter Parker and MJ(all 3 spider-mans)

Best fight(DC) - Superman vs Non, Zod and Ursa

Best fight(Marvel) - Spidey vs Doc Ock on the train

Best character moment(Marvel) - Wolverine in the bar(X-Men)

Best character moment(DC) - Batman and Joker interrogation scene

Best adaption(Marvel) - X-Men and X-Men2 - kept it feeling real whilst still having larger than life comic book elements, the characters all felt the same as the books for the first time.

Best adaption(DC) - Batman begins and The Dark Knight - same reason as X-Men, also felt like Batman was in a real living breathing city for the first time.

edit: Best scene Full stop : is perhaps the 'get out of my bar freak' scene with Wolverine.

My favorite has got to be in the Superman movie when they send little Kal-El off to Earth and you can hear the monologue by Marlon Brando.

Gary Oldman in TDK when he teared saying, "Harvey...I'm Sorry! For everything! Just don't point that gun at my family."

In Punisher '04 when Frank runs to his wife and son's body on the dock.

In X-2 the Wolverine flashback scene running down a corridor covered in blood and screaming looking at his claws. It felt Frankenstein like and that he was no longer man. Like they made him an animal.

The Punisher (04) : Frank Killing Howard Saint, Frank Contemplating Suicide, and Frank's Speech at the press conference.

spider-man : Uncle Ben's Death.

DareDevil : Matt finding his dead father. And His Final scene with Kingpin.

some of you might disagree and I know there are a ****load of others I could name, but nothing else comes to mind right now.

I'd have to say the best scene in any comic book movie is the interegation scene in TDK.

My favorite scene in Iron Man is when Tony's watching the news about the conflict in Golmira. Then he strolls thru the lab and blasts away with his repulsor rays. He's built the suit, he's got the tools, now he's ready to use them! No dialogue, just RDJ really acting the hell out of that character.

^That was a good scene, you could see the anger in his face.

really, batman got owned in that sequence

bats and joker are supposed to be equals but batman was WAAAAAAAAY over his depth and he got schooled when the joker sent him the wrong way.

it was watching an episode of punk'd

especially since the joker knew about his relationship with rachel.

batman flapping around like a child with a superior intellect in the room, nah, not for me.
