I went to my Best Buy the other day, and they told me they werent having pre orders...they are having a midnight release!

The Bat-pod poster is being shipped to my house. I hope there's going to be a lot of figures on Tuesday. I'm planning to take a day off from work to pick it up! Okay, I really have to study...but the timing is pretty good.

That's awesome. Not all BBs do midnight events, so you're lucky.

New updates! Every edition of The Dark Knight will come with a playing card on the inside of the box. It is the card that the Joker is holding up in the poster of him, Harvey and Batman. The one with Batman on it and a bloody red swipe under him.

Also, in the ads that will be coming out on Sunday, the Joker and Batman statuettes say store minimum of 4 and 5. Most stores will have about 15 though. And according to our stock and most of the district's, we'll have 25 of each special editions (the Joker mask and Batman mask).

So really we're offering a sweet set-up of extras. If you pre-order online, you can get one of the special editions, at least pre-order the Joker statuette, you'll get a Joker card automatically in the DVD and you get a free Bat-Pod poster for ordering online.

I believe so because I think the card is physically inside the DVD case. But then again, our ad does make a big deal pointing it out. That I am not too sure on.

More than likely no because we always mark down DVDs when they are first released. Also, since not every Best Buy store does midnight events (my store doesn't), it may cause problems because the stores that don't will have customers complaining that they didn't get the same deal as the people who went out at midnight.

I will try to find out what the deal is with the Joker card and I will let you all know. As far as I know, it comes in every single edition of TDK.

according to best buy.com you can get a free $20 gift card when you buy TDK and a certain blu-ray player.


also, does can anyone confirm if the the special edition with the batpod will come with the regular blu-ray case? i know this has been asked a few times before, but there's been no answer...

looks like that rounded triangular thing is in fact the blu ray case.

man this REALLY pisses me off. i really want the bat pod but i DESPISE alternate casing.

really have no clue what i'm going to do now.

EDIT: whoa, just checked prices, seeing as it's an extra $25 for the bat pod edition, i think i'm going to have to go with the standard blu-ray. the batpod is cool and all, but not sure if it's worth $25, especially without a real case...

Ok so I was told that people that went to the ironman dvd midnight release at bestbuy got a gift pack at midnight, with like a poster and some other goodies... is there going to be any perks for comming in at midnight? Also I saw in todays paper that those dc direct statues have to be bought at 9.99 each and they only have 4-5 at least of each.

Just phoned and my best buy isnt holding a midnite release, so im going to my Wallmart (which is open 24 hours a day) at midnight to pick up my 2 disk special edition.

It's funny because only 3 best buy's in the whole state of AZ are holding a midnight opening special, and there all out of my way. The best buy employee did however say that they will be holding a costume contest and best costume wins a prize. So thats kinda cool. I sure hope we get a gift for being there for the midnight release. My buddy and I are gonna head out around 9 P.M Just incase.

That $20 gift card offer is just one of our sale deals for the week.

That's how it's going to be everywhere. The Bat-Pod case is not exclusive to Best Buy.

That's minimum 4-5 per store. We got triple that in our shipment.
