One that's not on the poll is Yellowjacket in "Ant-Man". That was probably the most gruesome MCU death.
I'd have to go with Pierce from TWS. Just hearing 'Hail Hydra' come out of Robert Redford's mouth was something I'd never thought could happen.
They were after Shaw for a long time, and Shaw killed a lot of people, Chuck couldn't let hold of him to save his life and let him kill more.Otherwise I'd give it to Shaw even though it makes no sense as it meant Xavier was just as much a killer of him as Magneto. He held him still for Magneto to do it after all. 'No, Eric...don't do it!' my butt!
Didn't Shaw have a ton of radiation that he'd let loose if Xavier let him go?

This reminds me of that scene from Watchmen, flashback in Vietnam, Comedian shoots the mother of his child (possibly), all Dr. Manhattan does is tell him no, then Comedian turns his head toward Manhattan and tells him what he could have done to stop him, and he did not do it.He could have moved his head, couldn't he? Shaw basically was a puppet under Xavier's control at that point. He could have used Shaw to stop Magneto the way he used Toad & Sabertooth in X1. And while they weren't strong enough to remove Magneto's helmet by force, Shaw is far more powerful and possibly could. Point is, it's a plot hole and a pretty substantial one.

This post is beautiful. It might be because I've seen B89 and BR so many times, but I really do think their death sequences are top notch. I've already praised The Penguin's demise, but I like Joker's too. Even though some people still don't agree with the decision to kill him in the first place. But hanging onto a ladder attached to a helicopter, with a gargoyle strapped around your leg? What a terrifying way to go.

Harry Osborns death in SM3 was pretty good (even though he turned hero at that point)

Xavier wasn't as strong in FC. You could see he struggled in freezing Shaw, probably due to the crazy amount of nuclear power within him, so it's unlikely he'd be able to puppeteer Shaw around like the much less powerful Toad/Sabertooth and Erik while enacting revenge was still Xaviers friend and despite his actions their mission was to stop Shaw which they were in prime position to go.
So his options were to release Shaw to save him from execution while risking WWIII starting if they couldn't subdue him again or allow his friend to turn to the dark side while completing the mission and saving the world.
He chose the lesser of two evils
Batman did say "I'll kill you" earlier in that sequence. I don't have an issue with Keaton's Batman killing (he's based on the original comics), however I don't think he could've known the gargoyle would've cracked off. I can see any interpretation of Batman stopping the Joker from escaping an encounter. And with Batman hanging onto the ledge, he couldn't have helped him anyway. Not that he would've wanted to, mind you.Disagreed. I thought that they both stupid. Penguin pallbearers funeral was so corny, and Joker death was bad because Batman trap him like that on ladder and let him die.
