Best Final/Boss Level Ever

i agree, the last boss fight was a BIG disappointment, compared to the krouser fight with i thought was 10 times better. but one of the final boss battles that stands out to me is virgil in devil may cry 3.

he was so freakin hard to beat, but fun to fight.

dmc3- arkam&vergil
mgs2 -solidus
zelda ocrina of time- ganon

You know what the worst was? Resident Evil 4.

All through the game there so many moments where I felt like I was there. The stress and terror, there were times were I shrieked out like a little girl. I'd have phases where I didn't play it for weeks 'cause it was just too scary for me and I was too intimidated to return to that world. AWESOME!

And then, I get to the end, run a few yards, Ada throws me a rocket launcher. Pow. Fin.

WTF was that?
In that game it was like the larger, more freaky and impossible to beat a creature looked, the easier it was to kill.:down
True. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was kinda like that for me too. They built up this anticipated showdown between these two characters, and after a few slices of the sword, you're faced with the opportunity to go for the deathblow after he's told you he will not be defeated. Funny thing is, at that point the game is over. He stands still awaiting the deathblow, and you could run around a silent environment with no consequences for as long as you like.

Then, when you finally do walk up to him and swing your sword, he just falls. The sound is horrible... very little sound at all. Very unenthused from a game that up to that point was pretty damn good.

Zeromus from FFIV....I hated him so much!

My favorite FF game.:O

I really enjoyed the last level of Halo. The escape from the exploding ship was great. Also the final fight against Shao Kahn at the end of Mortal Kombat 2 for Genesis. That whole ladder was very difficult but the last fight was almost impossible. Until I found a glitch. The fight against Bowser at the end of Super Mario 64. The last level in the lobby where you fight the raptors (or Alan Grant if you were being the raptor) of the old Jurassic Park for Genesis. The last Dr. Robotnik boss at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the final boss at the end of Oot.

Vergil in DMC3.
Kain vs. Raziel in LOK: Defiance.
The final level in Hitman: Blood Money.
Almost any boss fight in Ninja Gaiden.

I personally liked Wind Waker's final boss over Ocarina of Time.

I hated the end in Sands of Time. You get that cool ass sword and you use it for about 10 min where you go back in time and get stuck with the crappy sword.

I remember I bought MGS2 Substance and played the roof top battle with Snake and just cried over what shouldve been.

Hulk Vs. Abomination (Final battle.)
-The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction

Spider-Man Vs. Venom (Final battle)
-Ultimate Spider-Man

That was just to tie up the story. The final boss was technically the Tower of Dawn.

I know it's a technicality, but I have to defend the only good PoP game. :(

I thought the last one was cool as well. I really enjoyed how they wrapped things up.

Oh you mean T2T? Yeah, that was a boss fight. God....You have no idea how many retries I forced myself through just to beat that bastard the Vizier. The second part of the fight is where you just lose your cool...

Technically the final boss was the Dark Prince but I dunno....that was more of an "inner demon" sorta battle. I have my doubts and dislikes over the ending of the series but I must admit they gave the Prince's final adventure a charm like no other. On big gripe: The game was too short

MGS 1, 2, and 3
Final Fantasy VII(The first two battles with Sephiroth is very well done and can be frustrating at times.)
Resident Evil 4(Krauser should've been the final boss)
Resident Evil 3- Nemesis

The boss fights in the mgs games. The end anyone? Not to mention how involving the final battle with the Boss was.

The End battle was very fun. That's another frustrating battle that can wear on your nerves after a while though.

My instant reaction was that I felt it would another Sniper Wolf bout, and needless to say, my humbleness was immediately showcased when it seemed like it turned into a 3 hour battle.

But still, to this very day, I have yet to actually cheat and kill him earlier instead of going through the whole patience is a virtue aspect. The final battle with The Boss was beautifully done and the music fits the mood.

Funny story involving The End. I was playing it and I got tired of waiting in a log for him, so I had Snake climb up a tree and put on some tiger stripe camo, woodland facepaint, and stood there waiting for him to pop up at a moments notice. I had no idea what made me look to the right of the screen, but that's when I saw The End, slowly walking under me and I immediately equipped the Sniper Rifle and shot him in the cranium. :D

It was funny because I was so not expecting him to show up that quickly.

****ing Oot, that game is getting on my nerves.

Why? Because to this day it's still one of the best games ever made?

That said, I loved the boss battle of OoT, up until that point I don't think there was one quite like it. Also enjoyed the Mr. X boss battle in RE2 "Game Over" heh.

Best/Hardest level of a game would be any freaking level in F-Zero GX.

One last level that comes to mind is the Cradle level of 007:Goldeneye for N64. It was so frustrating as you chased down stupid Trenyalan. You could shoot him in the head 1000 times and he'd keep on running until you got to the end of the cradle. Then you could kill him but only after he made you run half way around the world. So annoying.

The last level of God of War was awesome. Aries was a bad ass.

So is the final level of Ninja Gaiden.

The last level of Need for Speed Underground 2 was so simple. The final race was the easiest thing I've ever done. The guy who is supposedly your enemy sucked at driving.

For a tough fight. The final fight of Mortal Kombat Deception. Onaga is such a ***** to beat. He does that ******ed move where he picks you up, flies like 25 ft in the air and throws you to the ground. It takes away like a third of your health each time. I hated that guy (or dragon).

KH2-Xenmas, Sephiroth
ZOE 2-Naked Anubis and Level that had the war
Virgil-DMC
X-men Legends- Sentinel Fight

"I AM THE GREAT MIGHTY POO! AND I'M GOING TO THROW MY $H!T AT YOU!! A HUGE SUPPLY OF TISH COMES FROM MY CHOCOLATE STAR FISH! HOW ABOUT SOME SCAT YOU LITTLE ****!"

But really

Body Harvest-so friggen hard. Easily the hardest ever.

Doom will go down in history as some of the best bosses ever.

I've always really loved the final boss fight in Max Payne.

Spider-Man 2- I know lots of other people hated it but I loved fighting Doc Ock and dodging his tenticles and such

But easily the most fun was HULK ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION. BEST. BOSS(es). EVER.

Oh and Metal Arms had a great end boss.
