Best Movies Never Made?

While White Heat is among the best gangster movies of all-time, it would have been immensely interesting to see the remake that was written by the legendary James Ellroy. I bet the mother/son relation would be much more twisted in than in the original film, I mean, it's Ellroy... I also wonder who would have played Jarret.

Wow, I didn't know about this remake but to be honest I'm glad it never materialized. How do you top Cagney's performance and the whole film in general ?
Most masterpieces are better left alone imo (I'm saying most because I love the original Scarface but I also really like DePalma's remake. So you never knowt:.)

This definitely doesn't count, but there was supposed to be a porno version of the movie Malcolm X, called Malcolm XXX. The all-black cast walked off the set because they felt it denigrated the memory of the activist.

I agree even though I'm fine with the prequels, they could of been better and yes with Abrams they could of been awesome but I can get over it.

I also heard Vulture would of been involved and they could of used the black symbiote or the lizard as a cliffhanger or something.

Even with the Vulture, it would of been more balanced and controlled than what we got because it was actually a character Raimi wanted to tell about. The idea actually worked. Toomes with Marko in prison as cellmates and then Marko breaking out, then I think Toomes worked with him from the outside and he broke out. Would of been cool.

I still think SM4 should do one villain. I just don't see two villains ever working at the same time.

While this probably doesn't constitute as a "best" movie never made.. it's interesting to see the direction they might've gone with Alien 3.
