Best Twist/Shock Endings

waittttttttt batman begins had a twist?

To some extent, but it really wasn't a surprise since we already knew what it was. :)

I didn't know the main twist, and honestly, I was amazed at the end of movie.

BTW, this twist was made sense

You didn't know that Liam was Ducard/Ra's? It was discussed quite a bit on the Batman forums. But if you avoided the spoilers I could see how you'd be surprised then.

Well, honestly, I was trying to not know so much about BB and that is why I didn't know about this twist :)

Planet Of The Apes still has the most symbolic of all twist endings.

I love the psychologic angle of the endings of Fight Club and Memento. You follow or chase this character all the movie, then you find out it was all in your own mind.

I was a bit shocked at the ending to Secret Window. Mostly because I awsn't expecting such a ****ty ending.

1. The Cabinet of Dr. Calligari: More or less the first of its kind. This is the one that started the cliche.

So true, I love this movie.
Everything about it is incredible.
It's a shame that not too many people have seen it to appreciate it and know how many other films have borrowed from it.

that new movie Click
The entire movie was a ****ing dream, a Dream! this was though a very stupid twist

The movie was depressing enough,
it needed to end in a dream.
:)

It was a big shocker to me, because I forgot all about Ra's.

I hate movies and TV shows that end like that.

Ghost World
Donnie Darko
The Sixth Sense
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Memento
Fight Club

but with donnie darko u think hard and ull make sense of it.. it was beautiful

Its the kind of movie you need to watch more than once.

Identity
Unbreakable
The Sting
Fight Club

While I liked Sixth Sense, the ending didn't do much for me. I think it's because I had heard so much about a twist ending, that I was expecting it. The same goes for The Usual Suspects (although even knowing the ending, I still hate it) where iI was just expecting a twist at the end, so it didn't hit me as hard as it could have.

The SixthSense ending was ruined for me before I saw it, so I'll have to say Unbreakable. A truely shocking a powerful ending IMHO.

Also I'm going add Pirates 2. The very last shot of that film was a huge (and pleasent) surprise to me.

One of the best twists I've seen was "Witness For The Prosocution" (1957) Go Rent it.

Oldboy's ending is outstanding and really tweaks the nerve. Sleepaway Camp needs to be mentioned too just because its so funny.
