Just got back from my local toys r us down here in phoenix, now i dont know if this is nation wide or just in phoenix but in the toys r us ad in this mornings paper there is a sale for movie masters buy 1 get 2 free! I know the manager fairly well of one of my local toys r us stores and last week he said they got in a whole pallet of dark knight movie masters. Obviously it was for this promo. The sale is good through tomorrow by the way. So i get there this morning and there is a fully stocked bin of movie masters waiting for me and of course not one single damn variant. Out of 21 cases of movie masters there was not one variant. So sadly i went home empty handed. The good news is that the manager said that there doing this sale so they can get rid of there backstock in there main wherehouse so they can make room for the new waves that they will be getting soon. Hopefully this is very soon. I honestly dont think toys r us will get rid of all these old movie masters with this sale. There must have been atleast 40 jokers and 25 scarecrows and the rest were begins bats and a few dark knight bats. I think toys r us totally screwed up with there distribution of the movie masters line. I wonder when toys r us is going to file for bankruptcy.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to ToysRUs.com and they had the same deal. I broke down and bought 6 Thugs. Much to my amazement, they only charged me for the shipping!!! The 6 Thugs were basically free! It must be an error in the system. So if you need some more MM's, you had better get them now before they fix the problem. They still had BB Batman, TDK Batman, Joker, Gotham City Thug, and the Joker/Batman, Scarecrow/Batman 2-packs.

Here's another tip. When the new Movie Masters come out, and you shop at Wal-Mart, check the price of it using those price scanners they have randomly placed throughout the store. Since the old Movie Masters are on clearance for $7.00, there is a chance their computer will say the new MM's would be the same price. The reason I say this is because I collect some Star Wars items and this happened a week ago. Some new figures came out that I wanted, but I didn't have enough cash for all of them. For whatever reason, I ran one through the scanner to check the price. It originally was $7.99, but it scanned at $4.50. This was apparently the clearance price for some older figures. This erroneous markdown enabled me to get what I wanted. This wasn't the first time I found new items marked down at clearance price.

Hey no problem just want to help out my fellow movie master enthusiasts. Well hopefully this sale does well and toys r us will be able to make room for the new waves. Can't wait for that jail cell joker and proto suit bats.

I'm glad there are some solid sales for everyone to fill out their collections...I've got everything I need at this point and am not-so-patiently awaiting the next wave. I miss the thrill of the hunt....

You're right, when applying the Buy 1 get 2 free, the price reflected is only for shipping charges, so you're getting the figures for free.

I've purchased items (video games actually) with similar errors and have had the orders honored, so I figured what the hell and put in an order for 6 thugs (I never did get all the different masks) so here's hoping that it goes through. $7.75 shipped for all 6....

Yeah, that is a great deal for the figures. I'm thinking of doing a few customs. I picked up a few thugs and a batman to customize at the store and ordered a few thugs and a joker to customize as well.
