My friend and I were killing some time before going to see Watchmen last night, so we decided to go to K Mart. In the clearance section, they had 2 MM Jokers, 1 TDK Batman, 1 Begins Batman and 2 Thugs with different masks for $8 each. It's kind of funny that people (myself included) spent so much time looking for these last summer and now they are on the clearance rack.

i was actually thinking this myself a few days ago...i can remember running to TRU on May1st and finding the series 1 figures...i can remeber the recall shortly thereafter...i can remember the craziness of trying to find these before the movie came out,which got even more wild when wave 2 came out like 2 weeks before,even though some places still didn't even have wave 1 in yet! madness!

though,in the end,i imagine we all got what we were looking for (never did find a TDK Batman Chase,though)....and here we are,almost a year later,ready to start all over again...provided,of course,Mattel actually decides to release waves 3 thru 6....

can't 100% tell with the pic,but it looks like Bats has normal eyes...the proto pics showed him with the white sonar goggles...

it looks like he does have the White Sonar Goggles but they are less predominate than the prototype.. or the angle of the image is bad

those pics were on here a little while ago. we concluded those are fake, the scarecrow is just a repaint of a joker thug, you can see the little piece of the Bolo tie. and the back of the box looks realllly fake. so

Not bolo tie--piece of rope from bottom of scarecrow mask. The released strait jacket figure has this rope if you look at it.

These are officially released kitbash figures as 4H stated previously. This scarecrow has always been a kitbash of scarecrow head and joker thug body.

These things appear to be out now. Time to waste more time driving around wasting gas and talking to incompetent, sub human walmart/target/toys 'r us employees and be dissapointed time and time again because the ******* before you bought everything that was there and sold it on ebay for over twice its value. At least gas is actually cheap now--so I guess that's good.

Its a fake people I have taken the time to recopy the pic form the last page and circled the bolo tie on it that is on the thug its repaint... Sorry about the bad news I want these to come out just bad as you guys do...

They're reusing the thug body anyway, so yeah the bolo tie sculpt is still going to be there. In the prototype, it was covered by the neck tie. Since they won't include it, we get the already sculpted bolo tie. Mattel wouldn't sculpt an entire new body just so that it didn't have a round nob at the top. Regardless if these are fake or not, the Scarecrow will have that bollo tie nob.

What makes me wonder whether these are real or fake are the names on the inserts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the new Scarecrow was called "Arkham Asylum Scarecrow" & the new Batman was called "Final Battle Batman". I guess if Mattel really wanted to cut costs, they could just re-use the same inserts from the older figures, but given that Batman Begins Batman got his own insert, I suspect that these guys will receive new ones as well. The lack of evidence bags & no sonar lenses on Batman also make me doubt the authenticity of these pictures.
