Better Class Of Toyline (Official: Movie Masters Thread)

yea considering this is the 2nd biggest movie in history and there's like 8 movie masters figures, I'd have to say they ****ed up big time. I know they're working on more for next year but the whole point is to release the figures ALONG side the movie they are based off of. Not that I won't be just as interested in 2009.

You know, thinking about it, even though I dish out the money for these figs, Mattel sucks.

I mean, the figures are good, but this movie deserves INCREDIBLE figures.

Mattel produces TWO lines of figures that are almost the same. ONE INCH difference in scale.

And to call the MM super detailed is bunk, look at some of the figures out there by NECA, McFarlane, etc.

I'm happy with what I have, but dayum. It's the DARK KNIGHT. I want a tiny little scale with EVERY FRIGGIN character, even the ferry boat captain and big black awesome guy that threw the detonator out the window. EVERY THUG should have a figure in this line. EVERY outfit Rachel dressed in should be a different figure. Lau, with varient "deliver to gordon" edition. Thomas Sciff with torcher chair. Smiley Hong Kong Guy who takes Fox's phone. Detective Stephens. Wurtz. Ramirez. C'mon, a Star Wars scale for these figs would ROCK. (Heck, even the Pirates of the Caribbean figures were decent, and you got almost every character.)

Then I want a bigger, highly detailed line for the mains.

But you see, I doubt they were gonna risk having figs like Rachael Dawes when they'd probably end up being shelfwarmers.

Sure, they could have released tons of characters, but I'm not complaining...I mean, I'm already going bankrupt as it is, haha.

I'd buy them, but I'm not gonna die if I never get a Lau figure.

And for the record, Star Wars figures suck hard...I finally gave up on them after realizing how small and lame they are. It seems like you hardly ever see a new figure...just re-releases for the millionth time.

I guess I'm in the minority but as long as they are making Two-Face, I really don't care if they make any other figures especially since I allready have the two I want most which are TDK Bats and Joker. Again all I want now is Two-Face to complete the trio.

damn I was really close to ordering Demon Bats myself. I knew there was no way they'd be selling chases directly, but the damn heading and picture could only = one thing. I mean seriously how did they confuse "nightmare batman" with TDK Batman?

who knows maybe a coupla lucky people actually did receive the correct figure...I do know this tho, I will NEVER shop at TRU online.

Me too. I will never buy from TRU online again. How did they mix up the chase picture with TDK batman? Just one of those "accidental" mistakes? Highly unlikely.

Picture is one thing - didn't they do that before, listing a thug & showing a joker pic, etc? But that plus the "Nightmare" description isn't just a mistake. It's a collector's...NIGHTMARE!

I couldn't believe it, but at one Wal-Mart I found more Jokers than Scarecrows or Batmans! Makes me miss the days where you couldn't find one for months...

No chases though

Oh but yes...A Scarecrow in his suit would be uber great...I'm actually getting tired of there not being one so i'm probably gonna just make one. If I can ever find a couple more thugs, one to keep and one to use as the base body for Scarecrow. As for The Scarecrow MM, he's not too hard to find.

sad part is,they already own the perfect Scarecrow mold...just take the DC Superheroes Clark Kent body (but it needs to be scaled just a wee bit smaller) ,pop o a scarecrow head,and viola!

if i hadn't have used mine for Two-Face,i would've done it myself...

I'm so glad I didn't order that from TRU. I knew something had to be up, but I was going to order anyway, but by the time I got there, they were out of stock. Now...hopefully when I go directly to the store tomorrow, it'll pay off and I'll find some Chases and Thugs. Probably get a couple more of the basic figures too, even though they aren't as good.

Oh, & add Alfred & Lucius Fox to my Movie Masters wishlist. I forgot about those guys. Rachel Dawes would be neat, but I doubt Mattel would ever make her. But if they did, the chase variant could be a Katie Holmes headsculpt.

no,not really....MM Two-Face and (rumored) Ra's due out early next year....Target-exclusive Bat-Pod and 5" Two-Face/Firefly wave due closer to the DVD release date...and that's about it,i guess? oh,and the MM Thug's are starting to hit again...
