With any luck they decided to skip wave 3 and head straight into 4.

I have to agree with that. Neither of the wave 3 figures were worth buying and would be collecting dust on shelves for months to come, hindering stores stocking wave 4.

I got my toysrus.com shipment today. Unfortunately all of my thugs came with the exact same mask...which is also the same mask that came with the one I already have. Now I have 4 "Grumpy" masks. Also got Batman Begins, Joker vs. Batman pack, 5" line 4 pack, and a Hellboy 2 Angel of Death.

technically, chases and variants have been around for awhile, since the 80's haha. its just that there was no internet.

But i get you, it didnt blow up until Spiderman classic/Marvel legends era....

you know,when it comes to Mattel and their MM series,a quote from the immortal Anrew "Dice" Clay sums up my thoughts on the whole thing perfectly...

"It's like *********ing with a cheese grater...slightly amusing and fun,but mostly just painful."

also of note,the new Ghostbusters figures coming from Mattel are being labelled as Movie Masters as well....guess they were right: the MM line will encompass other movies,just not Batman ones!

It's totally ****ed that the Ghostbusters licensing went to Mattel after NECA beat their ****ing heads against a wall trying to aquire likeness rights for Bill Murray. It's a shame because their work and distribution is FAR superior to Mattel's.

Thats how Mattel works. They show this grand design on how they will market an existing property, steal the license, then let that property bomb because of poor company managment.
