The next Batman animated series, debuting in 2013, is titled Beware the Batman. According to Register, the CGI animated series will spotlight a classic looking Batman teaming up with a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and a female ninja sidekick. Beware the Batman is executive-produced by Glen Murakami, and will also explore the mythology’s more obscure villains, such as Professor Pyg, alongside mainstays such as The Joker and The Penguin. In the series, Batman will team up with a younger female sidekick named Katana. During the keynote, Register added the sidekick is “kind of Robin, but not really.”
So instead of Cassandra Cain they went with Katana? Okay... >_>

Also for the lovely little Bronys out there, you might be interested to hear the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, they will also do DC girl related shorts:

That first synopsis was pretty spoiler-ish, but other than that, neat to see.

I want Flamingo to be the villain in "Allies"!

Nice to see that Katana finally learns about Bruce.

Whelp, that was quick. I thought we were gonna have to wait until January for new eps.

I'm quite surprised with this show. I'm not too crazy about the "bottom-of-the-barrel" villains, but it is enjoyable. The Humpty Dumpty episode was incredibly well done, the best one so far. At least this show is serious and not exclusively catering to 8 year olds like another show I can think of.

It's nice to see new characters. As it was said in the previous thread, do we need an umpteenth time seeing the Joker? While it would be nice to see him pop up in some form it's also time to showcase other villians who don't have any broad recoginition for once.

I'm in full agreement. I like the new villains. And I like Katana.

Although by the end of Season 1 I'd like to see a couple more familiar faces. I think sometime in Season 2 we should see Dick, Selina, Dent and maybe one appearance of Joker. And as time goes on see them become Robin, Catwoman and Two-Face respectively.

Man, for the nerd rage alone from non-comic readers would be worth it alone. :woot:

That's the same kind of idea Paul Dini had for Batman Beyond.

They didn't want to give the new Batman old villains but now he's fighting their grand kids or a cyborg Penguin type thing.

I am loving this series it's awesome, for shizzle LOL.

I think what DC are doing is broadening it's character profiles for the general public., which I think it's a great idea.

There is a reason after all that Deathstroke is getting a lot of attention which started with Young Justice, then Arrow TV the series on the CW and the upcoming Batman Arkham Origins video game which looks the boss.

Here's to wondering (or hoping) that today's episode breaks the pattern of me thinking that the even numbered episodes are better than the odd numbered episodes...

Interesting what happened to Silver Monkey, i want to know what else will happen to him, i just love how DC nation has managed to portray assassins like Sports Master and Silver Monkey with such efficiency.

Loved the episode, yes, defeating Ninjas is just filler, but the animation was so good and fun to look at, it was smooth, it just needed a more upbeat song to make it perfect.

I love it how cartoons avoid "killing" characters by just stating they're not dead, even tho we all know the character is totally wacked off.

Can't wait for more, especially Lady Shiva, thats another great thing, a seeming season 1 antagonist being a woman, yeah, we know Ras' al Ghul is coming, but it sees Shiva is the top commander out here.

I'm glad we finally got to see Shiva. She's very relevant in the comics both pre-continuity and New 52 to the Batman family. It'll be good to see what happens now that she has the Soultaker sword.

Dammit! I got caught up trying to marathon Breaking Bad and forgot to record Beware!

Rerun should be on tomorrow, record that!

Sooo, how 'bout that Ravencroft? :shock
