NBC's ''The Blacklist'' - Part 1

[YT]k9_qgX7pTlc[/YT]
For decades, ex-government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader, “The Office,” “Boston Legal”) has been one of the FBI’s Most Wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as “The Concierge of Crime.” Now, he’s mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: He will help catch a long-thought-dead terrorist, Ranko Zamani, under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone, “Law & Order: Los Angeles”), an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico. For Liz, it’s going to be one hell of a first day on The Job. What follows is a twisting series of events as the race to stop a terrorist begins. What are Red’s true intentions? Why has he chosen Liz, a woman with whom he seemingly has no connection? Does Liz have secrets of her own? Zamani is only the first of many on a list that Red has compiled over the years: a “blacklist” of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists. He will help catch them all… with the caveat that Liz continues to work as his partner. Red will teach Liz to think like a criminal and “see the bigger picture”… whether she wants to or not. “The Blacklist” also stars are Diego Klattenhoff (“Homeland”), Harry Lennix (“Man of Steel”), Ryan Eggold (“90210”) and Ilfenesh Hadera (“Da Brick”).

Spader looks awesome in this :woot:

I doubt it either but it's fun to think about it.

Red: *whispers* Remember that time we had sex in the garden?
Kirk: ...

The co-host does make a strong case for that theory. But then the other guy brings up a great point as to why it also wouldn't hold. Kirk knows Red. No mention whatsoever from Kirk on how Red looks or sounds different from the last time they've met. Of course, one could say that the blacklister, the alchemist, is that good.

Yeah, its like the co-host said, without the alchemist episode, that theory is pretty much shot down.

That was a stupid risky move to throw Liz in an undercover op. Her face was on national tv for months. Hell, it was on national tv a few weeks ago after the President pardoned and reinstated her.

The move against Red's operation will most likely be Mr. Kaplan finally hitting back. She's going to be a formidable foe.

The whole thing was ridiculous. Not a SINGLE one of them recognized her? Yeah right... And she's not even wearing a disguise of some sort.

Yup. Although it seems like they will tie it in too with Tom and his mother. I guess they're setting up the events that will lead to the spin off as well.

I have to admit I hadn't considered the fact Liz had been all over the news as America's most wanted fugitive. :funny: I just enjoyed Liz having a more ezxciting role in an ep, it feels like she's been just used to deliver expositional dialogue for a while now with the pregnancy.

Wasn't there supposed to be a new episode tonight?
It was a rerun.

Getting a feeling they going to write Ressler out of the series.

It's kinda strange how much smaller Liz' screen time has become. It was better this week but she was barely there in the last few weeks.

They probably cut down the actress screentime so she can spend more time with her real life baby.

Couldn't help but notice in one of the previous episodes she looked ill (4.11)
.

Decent episode last week, I hope ''Elise'' returns really liked her and Aram interacting with each other.

^^

Agreed,I did enjoy it as I do almost every episode of this Show since Season 1.

Brent Spiner as a one off villain was a bit of a waste of a good talented actor IMO.

Enrique Murciano Joins Cast Of ‘The Blacklist’ On NBC In Major Role

Marciano will play Julian Gale, an FBI investigator and Ressler’s (Diego Klattenhoff) former colleague, whose obsessive tendencies make him both a valuable agent and a potential liability. Dedicated, driven and possessed of a quiet charisma, he can command a room or a crime scene without uttering a word. And yet, his new assignment puts him in danger of losing himself.

The Blacklist could use some cast reinforcement as one of the original series regulars, Ryan Eggold, is transitioning to topline spinoff series The Blacklist: Redemption.

For some reason, she has never looked totally healthy, as in healthy as a Federal Agent should look. Ever.... :(

If we didn't already know that Mr. Kaplan was alive. The reveal would have been a real shocker. Because I'm not buying one bit that Dembe has turned against Red. Besides, why would he poison him only to try to save him? Obviously a frame up. Hopefully Red catches on before he does something stupid like kill Dembe.

Redemption was alright. Like seeing Soloman again.

[BLACKOUT]woah, that latest episode was just a huge info dump, have to say they did an excellent job of casting a young Mr Kaplan.[/BLACKOUT]

Yeah that was awesome casting.

I can't decide whether I love how they integrated Kate's life with Liz (She's really such a special snowflake! Everything revolves areound her! :funny:) or it felt way too much retconning. Regardless, I do love how they showed the events behind the poignant scenes in the series like the fire, Katarina's death, Red approaching the FBI building, etc. I love the origin of the Mr. Kaplan name.

Is it because of the sudden shift in his attitude (pre vs post Katarina) and how they're sort of hiding his face when he's still with Katarina? Or just because with his interest to keep Kate around?

ETA: Ok I read some of the reasons at Reddit and I can understand now why... still not sure how I feel about that theory. It's too smart and I'm not convinced that this show is capable of that.

Those things, also but I think what convinced me on this theory ,is Katarinas speech patterns and vocabulary, they are almost similar to Reds, its like if James Spader was saying those lines.

Go back and listen to when she first meets and interviews Mr Kaplan
