Beware the Batman

That's why I consider him a main villain. I remember him in Batman: TAS and he had a couple great episodes and again he's in the comics constantly. He's the backup feature to Detective Comics and it's really good.

Calender Man, Rag Doll, etc. they're C or D level villains where as Man-Bat is B level at worst.

I like the tone of the show and I thought the second ep was better than the first, but the animation style is very empty.

I really liked this episode more. The fights were great. Loved the "Shiny Shiny" lines. :hehe:

Was surprised to see Barbara this early since it was just revealed she'd be on the show.

Technically, she was revealed at last year's Comic-Con.

Speaking of which, the panel's tomorrow. Hopefully there's plenty of new info there.

This series is two episodes in and it's hitting all the right cords, Batman is getting better at his crime fighting and I like that this series is really showing you a coming of age Batman fighting his way up, Also the lesser villains is a nice set up for the big Villains that are sure to come as the series progress. Magpie intro plus her obsession to shiny objects is nice homage to her debut in John Bryne's Man of Steel # 3 also I love seeing Barbara and Gordon . Keep it up the good work BTB

I really liked how they expanded on Bruce's excellent detective skills in this one. For example, what he said to Katana and how when he enters a room, the camera zooms into certain objects as he glances around. You can tell he's closely observing everything. This was a better episode than last week's and I'm starting to get used to this new version of Alfred. I even kinda like it, it's a nice change from the typical Alfred. I also noticed more of a difference between Batman and Bruce's voice, which is good.

But I think it was pretty reckless of Batman to cause Magpie to get electrocuted. It was a cool move but that could have killed her, and he didn't seem bothered by it. And yes he did it purposely, because his precision is acute.

I like it. Still like it. Just noticed the music was pretty cool in this one.

What I don't like is Magpie kinda acts as this incarnation's Catwoman at least momentarily a few times. I just hope we don't see stand-ins for all the real Bat-villains.

I am really enjoying this show. It has so many great elements to it.

One thing that bothers me is how often Batman gets his butt kicked by the villains. Bruce is supposed to be trained in martial arts and these villains are supposed to be just regular people (for the most part) who gain extraordinary abilities. They don't have formal training and yet they are master fighters.

Take Magpie for example. She was just some college student or something who had her memories experimented on. How can she know to fight so well?

Lunk-head was funny. It was good to see more of Lt. Gordon.

Batman having to escape from various contraptions and deathtraps is one of my favorite tropes. But in order for that to happen, the villain has to have the upper hand.

Some info from Comic-Con:

*The episode screened at the panel has Humpty Dumpty. He's supposed to be creepy in it. Tobias Whale and Barbara Gordon also show up.

*Adam Baldwin will voice Metamorpho.

*There's a League of Assassins subplot running throughout the first season.

*Something near the end of the first season will push the boundaries of the censors.

*No plans for Joker, Robin, or Catman.

*A second season has been approved and in production. A "Top Five" Batman villain will appear, who has the letter "D" in his name. Also expect some special voice guest stars.

I really like this not doing the main villains right out of the gate thing, but I do hope they gradually get into them as the show progresses. I can't see them never doing the Joker.

Watched the second episode today, and have to say, I really liked it. Magpie was designed, acted, and written well. I enjoyed the tension between her and Batman; it is nice to see it occur in characters other than Catwoman. Also, on a disconnected note, I love the extra love they tendered towards Lovecraft...

Second episode, kinda generic but I liked it. Magpie was always a ****** character so this was an improvement over the original.

*** / *****

It's The Djoker. The "D" is silent

Is he voiced by the Prince?

I like the "Harvey Dent" suggestion, the Riddler of this show is suppose to be Humpty Dumpty, but Harvey Dent's dualism is pretty unique and hard to re-create with another character.

I just watched the 2nd episode I love when Bruce hit the button on his watch to signal Alfred back at the Batcave the sound when that red light flashed was the sound of the Batphone from the 60s tv show :awesome:.
