Beware the Batman

This sure was a creepy episode with Humpty and I liked it. I did thought having a real castle was too convenient but some rich eccentric must have built it and the heirs just abandoned it. Anyway keep 'em coming.

Yeah the castle was clearly on the outskirts of the town if not farther than that.

One of my favorite comics that's now gone was Streets of Gotham. In one issue they explained that when Gotham was expanding as a town (long before Batman) businesses of every size, shape, and hue came and set up shop.

Then when they all went broke the buildings remained, which is why there's always something for someone.

What's not to say that an ancient castle was built? I think it makes sense.

Of course it makes sense... some fans have a tendancy to over think these things.

There's a toad that can walk and talk. Magpie can fall from a building and survive. A sword can steal your soul... but is that a CASTLE on the outskirts of GOTHAM?!?! Oh...

Dear lord... what will these crazy writers think of next?

Batman - "Computer, what's Humpty Dumpty's last known address?"

Computer - "A wall."

LMFAO! :woot:

anyway, i thought it was a good episode. pretty dark in certain scenes. Batman taking down the toy soldiers reminded me of the B:TAS Christmas episode when Batman took out similar soldiers in Joker's hideout

At least they won't show some schmuck fall into a vat of chemicals and turn into a psychotic clown. 'Cause, y'know, that's unrealistic. :p

Probably my least favorite so far. As creepy as he was, Humpty Dumpty is a terrible terrible villain. I hope he's in very few more episodes (if any).

Some cool choreography, but he was still fighting toy soldiers... -_- I don't care about the castle.

6/10

With the way the bat computer's been acting it's almost like it JARVIS for Batman

Which made me think an Iron Man cartoon in this style of CGI could probably work in the future.

Wasn't the Iron Man cartoon they did a while back with a teenage Tony Stark 3D animated?

Oh yeah. I forgot all about it >_>

I still wouldn't mind an Iron Man cartoon with the "Green Lantern" "Ninja turtles 2012" Beware the batman, transformers prime style

Yeah it was called Iron Man: Armored Adventures. It was ok and a really cool theme song but aside from that the look was dated and it was a little cheesy.

I gave the Humpty Dumpty episode a 8/10. It was one of my favorite episodes so far.

I LOVED Iron Man Armored Adventures. Great stories.

Watched the first episode. Not bad at all. Just not a fan of this take on Alfred, but maybe he'll grow on me. The animation is nice. I know its only a matter of time before we get the villains we know, Robin, guest appearances and finally cancellation followed by a new Bat show.

We already have Barbara and I wasn't expecting her so soon, so who knows who else we'll get?

i like where it's going about Tatsu possibly becoming a side kick to Batman

Barbara has already been introduced, but i don't think we will see her become Batgirl by the 3rd season. introduce Dick around that same time as well.

Yeah I definitely don't want it rushed. Especially since Gordon and Batman aren't on "friendly terms" at the moment.

Let Katana have her time to shine then we'll see.

The problem isn't "realism" per se but a consistency of aesthetic. Here you have a modern (but disturbingly empty) Gotham that seems high tech, albeit bland. There's little character to the city, its quite obviously just a backdrop. And THEN there's a castle on the outskirts, no explanation, a total clash with the city as a whole. And again, the castle is unexplained, why? Because the settings are just backdrops, just stages for the characters. They aren't made to seem like actual places, nor are they given a consistent aesthetic (compare that to BTAS' gothic noir feel, which even the fantastical locations were able to fit in). Its all very generic.

So there's a castle on the edge of Gotham. A generic castle. Meh.

"Broken" was a pretty good episode. Humpty Dumpty reminded me a lot of Superman TAS's Toyman, which isn't a bad thing IMO, considering we'll probably never see a version of Toyman like that.

Loved seeing more of Batman and Gordon's relationship. Nice build-up to what's familiar to us.

More Barbara Gordon and more Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon is always a good thing, IMO. Nice moment there with Batman comforting her after Jim's been kidnapped.

The B-plot with Tatsu and Alfred was nice. I loved that Alfred knew that she was searching the Soultaker Sword and had that over her. And Ra's al Ghul name-drop, yay! Can't wait for his inevitable debut here.

"Broken" was a creepy episode and so far the darkest with Humpty Dumpty portrayal. I loved seeing the start of Batman and Gordon's partnership, also Barbara getting to see Batman. Also I love the name drop of Ra's al Ghul, Alfred continues to impress as he remains a head of the game of Katanna.

Was wondering why nothing was out yet

looks cool, like the way metamorpho looks

Limitation of the animation style, unfortunately. I loved how in the Anarky episode, we actually saw REAL PEOPLE and "Extras" around the streets of Gotham. Probably blew all their budget on that ;)

Just started watching episode 6, "Toxic". So far looks like the even numbered episodes are better than the odd numbered episodes. Gotham City is more populated as well in the first 8 minutes I've seen as well. More thoughts later.
