Days of Future Past Billing order.

jackman is in the film from start to end and he will most likely appear in both future and past at same time, even if he just laying on the table in the future scenes they will still show him

please, dont torture me right now

let the torture returns with the actual movie, but just the idea of it is disgusting

I for one am not surprised at all that Hugh had top billing for this film. He, along with Halle Berry received those positions for X3 and I believe Ian and Patrick rounded out the top four. I don't believe that Halle has as big of a role in this film (I personally believe that Storm will lose her life at some point in the storyline) so I wouldn't expect her to be in in the top 5. But that being said, I also don't see James McAvoy or Michael Fassbender being billed before their film counterparts--it makes more sense that Patrick would be listed first, then James, then Ian, then Michael, etc.

I agree. Also, it's interesting to note that the "And" honor is not listed in the final scrolling credits. The actor(s) is moved upward into the overall listing towards the top rung of billing. For example, Anna Paquin was listed with her castmates in the final billing for both X-Men and X2--but not last. The link below explains my point:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290334/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_13
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120903/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1

Patrick Stewart recieved the "And" distinction for X3, but the final billing does rank him with the other actors:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_4

Expect the same to happen with this film. We won't know the exact billing order for these actors until the scrolling credits arrive for this film--the trailer released this week is not a real indication of anything.

I don't think imdb is the most reliable source for billing, currently DOFP billing on imdb has changed on a regular basis.

I do agree that after they have shown the names at the end of the film in a similar style to the DVD billing. There is usually a billing in long list of credits and they do move the and billing accordingly.

I don't know what you're expecting for the film. Hugh Jackman getting the bill and all the information we got about this movie are big indications that Wolverine will be very prominent in this movie.

This Is X-Men's answer to The Avengers of course WOlverine was going to be prominent role In film. Why do people not get that.

Its not about the prominent role. It is above the title billing. Downey did not get sole above the title billing in Avengers. This is much different.

He did on the posters.

If you look on the credits at the bottom of the poster you can see he comes before the title:

And this poster still looks like a crap piece of amateur fan art that someone cobbled together. Can't believe they actually used this.

It does look stupid. The only one that doesn't look obviously photoshoped in is Fury.

I think that could be the worst film poster for a comic book movie. I thought those initial X-Men First Class ones were bad but the actual ones to promote the film turned out a lot better. This one was the final product!

Actually, those iMDB listings are accurate to what's actually featured in the film itself. I just didn't feel like being bothered with typing it all up when copying and pasting was soo much more convenient.

I do think the billing order reflects a little on the buzz in this forum. Storm, rogue and kitty are some of the biggest discussed topic, I notice they as individuals including the leading men, have a lot of discussion.

Well it also is the fact that Storm and Rogue are Oscar winners and Kitty is a nominee. That definitely contributes to billing.

Absolutely agree, very important, but I do think it based on the forum discussion, reflects who the people want to see.

On another note, it adds evidence that's it's the OT are creating a lot of the buzz and hype.

well the OT are more or less all A listers, big stars - Berry, Paquin, McKellan, Stewart, Page etc. etc. In the First Class only Lawrence is a big star, and Fassbender is sort of becoming one, rest are smallish.

And perhaps they play the fan favourite characters.

And perhaps they play the fan favourite characters.

Those three are very popular characters. The billing reflects that. I reckon it's a combo of character, actresses status and how impacting the character is on the plot for the reason they're in the main billing.

^Yep all of these. And also perhaps screentime to a lesser degree.

Excuse you, James McAvoy is no "rest". Neither is Nicholas Hoult, but especially McAvoy. :o

Nicholas Hoult is not even a big actor, sure he's getting movies but being a movie doesn't automatically make someone BIG and A-list. Thats like saying Taylor Kitsch is already a big actor because he appeared in Wolverine, John Carter and Battlefield. Actually Taylor/Nicholas are in the same league, they started their career in TV, a X-Men movie is their most successful movie to date and appeared as a lead in movies that didn't get a lot of money.

I agree that Hoult isn't a big star yet but I count Warm Bodies as another hit on his resume. It did very well for a quirky February release. It's not the biggest hit ever but money was made.

Really? I think it's pretty sweet.

Anyways, I see Jackman getting billed first.

As a graphic designer I think I'm biased. I don't think it's the worst thing ever but that poster is a pretty crappy copy paste job IMO.

We know for a fact that he does because of the trailer Moose... Sheesh. :oldrazz:

It looks the exact same as the Watchmen poster.

So what with Anna being cut, who will take her place?! My bet is between hoult and Ellen page. Hoult as he will he more screen time but maybe page because of a wider appeal and I think OT still has a wide appeal to the GA

They probably won't replace her with someone else.

In my opinion, Nicholas Hoult didn't make the billing in the trailer because he didn't recieve a Oscars/Golden Globes/Emmy/Bafta nomination/award yet.
