the first issue was pretty good. the story is decent, but the art was what really impressed me. what else has paulo sequeira worked on? his figure work is gorgeous and his pacing and storytelling seem pretty good, too. i look forward to the rest of the series.

I liked it. Really lovely art, and Sin is adorable. Bedard does a really good capturing the vibe Gail Simone gave Dinah in Birds of Prey.

One thing that bothers me is how much of a variation writers have given Dinah's personality. I mean, Simone really tapped into something memorable with BoP, but then Winnick's got his way, and Meltzer's current take really doesn't mesh either.

Simone, Bedard and Meltzer all had the same take (minor variations, Meltzer has only written her job side).. its just Winick that's screwing around..

This was my point about Meltzer writing her. I guess I wasn't very clear about it.

true.. but her "professional" side is shown as true to character
and when your running the JLA .. you need to be professional :P

I'm collecting this mini mainly because of the GA proposal thing...but it's a plus that I do like BC as a character. The first issue was enjoyable, and we will see today how the second issue comes out.

I was reading Green Arrow #74 last night, and I'm gonna take back what I said about Winick's portrayal. Although the characterization was pretty standard, he didn't do anything necessarily out of character with BC. But "40 Hours of Sex"?? Gimme a break

40 is a bit much.. but its very much what Mike Grell did in the late 80's early 90's :P
when they where both at home it was food or sex :P

another good issue. sin's a complete badass. the art was ****ing amazing, again. the characterizations seemed pretty spot-on. i'm glad bedard addressed the league of assassins. i was wondering why there seemed to be so many variations of the l.o.a. lately. it's interesting that they split up into factions after ra's death and talia, cassie cain and merlyn each took on their own squad with different motives and methods. good stuff, so far.

RAMA: Ah... sounds like the set-up for a story. Tell us about what we'll be seeing in the mini.

TB: Basically, as Dinah is trying to decide whether or not marrying Ollie would ruin her chances for giving Sin a normal childhood, the League of Assassins tries to get Sin back. We'll feature the return of a character from Green Arrow's past and one from Dinah's past that hasn't been seen in a long while. Hilarity and heartbreak ensue.

i wonder who it is that has yet to come.. the person from ollies past..
It cant be Merlyn.. after all he and Ollie have had a fight every year for the last few years (and last time was in May)
It sounds like the person hasent been seen in comic at all! for a while so i cant be Count Vertigo since he is one of the stars in Checkmate

I'm thinking .... Bonnie! Ollie getting married, and ex girlfriend comes into the picture.. would fit with the Hilarity comment! since Dinah is getting her hear broker again by her ex..
