all star bats #7

Wow, Frank Miller seems to have gotten lazy with his ASBR covers. He just drew a little red X. I wonder what that means?

:oldrazz:

Okay, I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread before, and seeing as I read it on Wikipedia what I am about to say might just be most incorrect piece of information ever but;

Appearantly, Frank Miller stated that, to him at least, Batman Year One; All Star Batman and Robin & The Dark Knight Returns / Strikes Back, all share continuity.

So. Any takers?

do you see it now?

Nope, still a red X. Maybe it's on my end, I don't know. I already saw that cover on the Newsarama page. Nothing major. I just can't wait to get the issue so I can continue this awesome series.

i can see that being true. but his all star bats seem very angsty. and if they do share ocntinuity..i don't want to see dick turn into some mutant freak.

It kind of makes sense, when I think about it, I just hope it isn't true. Dark Knight Returns depressed the hell out of me.
Also, If I remember correctly, "Holy Terror, Batman!", Miller's upcoming graphic novel where Bats takes on Al-Qaeda, would also take place in the shared continuity.

whens DC gonna release Batman vs Al Queda.(AKA Holy Terror, Batman!) WHAT'S THE HOLD UP??!!

They should just really change the title to The All-Star Goddamn Batman and F**king Robin, The Boy B***h Wonder :o

Batgirl looks fun. Hope Miller keeps up the tradition of completely ****ing things over though.

Well, it may be a fairly new concept to you - I don't know - but when you make comics time is taken to actually write and draw them. Especially when you're writing two other comic book series, plus in preproduction on two major films.

Not to mention pitching story after terrible story that gets green lighted solely on name recognition.

what are you talking about? has book come out yet, and been reviewed?:whatever:

I have confidence in Miller. It's probably impossible to do, and there is no real reason to do so, but you can check my posts, I've always been a big Miller fan and I really do think he writes well. So I'm definitely excited about Holy Terror Batman, and I think that ASB is really more personal than action epic, and I think if you read it that way you really get more out of it.

I know I said I love Miller, but I fear that Newsramma made a mistake and put up the whole ASB 6 issue. (something tells me it will end soon). The new Batman issue looks really good.

Hey, I was just throwin' out some innocent fanboy acticipation/gripe/yellings. As a working illustrator I fully understand the time sh** takes. Esp. when your juggling life, muliple projects, legal stuff, money, a divorce etc. like Frank is/was. Chill the hell down ,fella, and keep off the special coffee.:whatever:

My comic shop only got the variant cover. I bought it, hell I've bought them all, but I'm not going to read it. So I have to wait a couple days. :csad:

I hate that I have Miller's cover for #2.(
