Sony Spin-Off Black Cat/Silver Sable spinoff film

I wonder who the villain of this will be? Tombstone maybe?

I could also see someone like Silvermane, who seems a bit more international with the Maggia.

We are literally approaching a Spider-Man cinematic universe minus Spider-Man.

A Spider-Man-less Spider-Man movie universe.

What. The. ****.

i think if people really think all these other films will be ade with mention or appearance by spider-man they are naive.spider-man is what makes then cinematic universe.at some point even if they recast spider-man he will be showing up in other films.

I know if I was Sony and if I was focused on making this Sony Marvel Universe, I'd cast a new actor specifically for these films. Let the MCU have its own Spider-Man with Tom Holland and let the SMU have its own Spider-Man with whoever.

People will bring up confusion but they'd get over it.

Don't think so. If mcu spidey is a hit then what is the point of putting another universe. It's just a cash grab from a dying company imo. They just want something to stick.

Marvel I think definitely knew this was Sony's plan all along, but Marvel had to do it to get Spider-Man in the MCU. Plus, the agreement expires in 2019 as of now after Homecoming 2. I think Marvel will look to resign and resigning may happen, but maybe Sony sees this as the spinoffs will set up the Sinister Six in Homecoming 3, with or without Marvel. Def possible. But, Marvel not helping Sony right now could make renegotation for an extension down the road tricky, so they will need to play along.

Tom Holland said there would be three Spider-Man movies.

But the current Marvel deal ends after Homecoming 2, therefore Homecoming 3 would need an extension of the deal, or would have to be Sony exclusively produced.

I see some making a point of them now saying Venom is not MCU, but they never said it was. They said it may have Tom Holland and be same world he occupies. That is a different thing than it being MCU. Sony can use Tom Holland in their own projects legally, and use him once the Marvel deal expires should they decide not to renew. But, we have to see how this all plays out.

Hopefully in 3 years Sony will be dead and Marvel will buy the rights to Spider-Man and his entire universe.

This. The spinoffs are connected to Homecoming. THR basically confirmed it when they said Sony is planning to have Holland in them. They are not connected to the MCU canonically

holland has 6 film deal.3 for marvel films and 3 for spider-man trilogy.if sony and marvel part ways after homecoming 2 he still has another film on his contract.people don't seem to grasp sony still has film rights.sony allows spider-man in civil war and infinity war/untitled avengers film and marvel produces 2 spider-man films for them.

Exactly. Tom Holland's final Spider-Man film could very well be Sony produced with no Marvel Studios involvement. Unless they extend the deal. I could very well see Sony opting to do Sinister Six as Homecoming 3 and having their own mega event within their Spider-Verse. But only time will tell.

Maybe the deal has already been altered and we should pray it is not altered further.

I know if I were Sony, I'd do this, but make Spider-Man not Peter Parker and make these movies a completely standalone series with their own distinct style. In other words I'd make a Spider-Man 2099 series of films.

Haven't we established that 3 Spider-Man films does not mean 3 MCU Spider-Man films?

Once again, I am sure that is Marvel's intention, but that does not mean it is Sony's

As well as three Marvel films...Civil War, Infinity War, Avengers 5:Something War

That's not what he said.

“There is still a lot of room for Peter Parker and Spider-Man especially to grow in the next two movies. He’s definitely not the finished article by the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming and I really look forward to exploring the different ways he can grow up and go through puberty I guess. It’s going to be an exciting couple of movies… Yeah, there’ll be Spider-Man 2 and 3, it won’t be Homecoming 2 and 3.”
