Harvey Dent you should have some symathy for. Like Anakin Skywalker he's the good guy slowly turning evil, Joker should be played as evil incarnate, IMO.

I too hope they tread lightly in terms of any Joker backstory, but if we've learned anything from Nolan's writing and directing of the past he tends to carefully craft every aspect of his plots. Plus keep in mind that David Goyer again shaped the story with him, we all know David Goyer has an insane wealth of knowledge when it comes to the character. I think it's all in safe hands right now and I'm sure they won't overdo it and it will kick ass.

I agree.

Harvey Dent is a VERY tragic character: A man wanting so much to rid the city he lives in of evil that he goes to every extreme to "fight for the good". He is a perfect parallel to Gordon who losses his family and everything important to him by staying on "his side of the line" with the same goal.

I may be one of the only ones on the board, excluding Two-face ofcourse, who may be more psyced to see the relationship they craft with Batman', Dent, and Gordon, than the Joker story.

As for the Joker's origin/backstory. If they do it, I know that they will handle it interestingly. Maybe have Batman interrogate his doctor from Arkham (Harleen Quinzel, Jerimiah Arkham, or Crane) and they give him snip bits of Joker's life.

I would like Joker to be fighting Batman in the end, and Batman is trying to spill out parts of the Joker's past, all the while the Joker is telling a different story. Batman looks confused about the man's "life history" when the Joker tells him, how he doesn't want one past, he wants his life to be multiple choice.

I want the movie to start about a year after BATMAN BEGINS, with the "Joker murders" growing by the week. Batman goes to where it all began, Arkham. And the story picks up from there.

I figure Joker has some ties to Arkham... i mean what else could they do... Harley working with him would be perfect... if you don't like the toxic gas idea... maybe he can just bee insane to begin with... new villains... I don't see Thorne... but Maroni and Penguin are probably it...

Ever since I heard that ledger was going to play the joker I had no doubts in my mind that he's the perfect candidate. Joker will have some flashback scenes and there will be more villains and all man this sounds awesome the only thing I'm a bit dissapointed of is that there not going to mentioned the title for batman begins 2 until they finish shooting but now it's save to say were going to hear a s*** load of news next year at comic con 2007. Move over Iron Man the bat returns with a smile (JOKER).
