No, he would NOT make a wonderful addition to the cast. I can't stand that man. If he never made another movie in his life, it would make the sun shine just a little bit brighter.

If Alec Baldwin was in a Batman movie, playing anything other than a guy who dies 3 seconds after we first see him onscreen... I'm not sure I could see the movie.

If I had to choose between an Alec Baldwin movie and a two and a half-hour closeup of John Goodman's naked ass, I would choose Goodman.

I wouldn't piss in Alec Baldwin's ear if his brains were on fire.

If a house was on fire and the two life-forms inside were Baldwin and a rabid dog, I would save the dog.

Then I might try to save some of the furniture.
Man, considering I would've loved if Baldwin had taken the Batman role back when Burton directed it....I feel very angered reading this. :cmad:

My god, that must've meant she was invisible for a good few seconds, eh?

Sorry. He's just the most annoying Baldwin. I got no problem with Billy Baldwin. Stephen Baldwin is a good guy. Alec... I just can't stand him. Especially now that he's apparently degraded into playing one role: The rosy-cheeked idiot. Ewwwwwwwghhhh... yech... hate that guy.

Haven't really seen much of his latest work, apart from The Departed (which he was damn entertaining in). All I know is, looking back at his prime, imo he would've been the ideal actor to work on Batman. Dude had a cold-blooded look to him, plus he was pretty big in size.

Shame he never got to helm the role. Him and Gregory Peck. How I wish there was a time-machine... :(

Dent shouldn't be too young nor too old - early 30's...

What? An on-topic post? Can't you see we're having a drink with Boom here? The man just got engaged, for sh1t's sake. Get off the dent thing a minute. Have a cohiba. This is man-support time.

Dude....Boom left like 2 hours ago and is still screwing his wife 3 doors down. We're the only ones here. :(

He's a quality actor.

Who, besides yourself of course, really cares if you don't see TDK?

Why are you making homosexually inclined references?

I wouldn't piss in Alec Baldwin's ear if his brains were on fire.
Why are you contemplating the thought of having your genitals so close to Baldwin?

If a house was on fire and the two life-forms inside were Baldwin and a rabid dog, I would save the dog.
Dog's are a man's best friend; Baldwins hate every one.

That's understandable.

Then I might try to save some of the furniture.
Next time, save this sorry excuse for a post with actual reasons as to why he wouldn't fit into the role. Thanks.

I think that Ryan Phillipe is a great actor, but his ability to play Two-Face is what I'm skeptical about.

When I hear Mark Wahlberg, it's vice-versa. I can see him as Two-Face, but I don't envision him as a Gotham-city DA.

Joaquin Phoenix is a nice candidate, but he's already played troubled characters before, so that might count as a strike with Nolan and co.

Liev Schreiber is a great selection, and I'd have no problems with that, although, I'm not supporting the 'bandwagonism' in his favor at this point. He might not even take a role like this.

There is no way that Leonardo Dicaprio would do this film; if he's not headlining, it's not happening.

If Nolan was searching for an actor who's age is relatively close to that of Bale's, I've always thought that Jude Law would make a nice addition.

However, the reality of the matter is that Dent's role will be secondary to the Joker's. With that in mind, I doubt any A-list talent will take on a secondary role in this film, even with the alluring offer of a 3rd feature.

edit - Congrats Boom.

The bandwagon is not nearly as insane as it was a few months ago (SCHREIBER DAMMIT! was in just about everyone's sig.) As far as Liev takin the role, he wants the job and has said so every time he is presented with the rumor.

Gyagh! Boom engaged!

Normally I'd feel obliged to give you a hard time, but ...you're freakin' Boom. So Congrats.

 :down

Baldwin is not bad actor, but he is too old and too fat for getting this role.

What happened with him? Or... is this make-up (during the making of The Departed)?

Fell of the training wheels...

Just like the casting of the Joker, the casting of Dent will probably someone no one will think of.
