LMFAO!:D

There's been another sentence added to the paragraph about The Joker's costume:

"We know that Heath Ledger's portrayal will be nothing like we've seen before on screen -- i.e Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson. Consequently, don't expect TDK's Joker to be "costumed" as we've seen in the past either. While he will still clearly look like and be The Joker, expect him to be "less cartoony," if you will. Our source told BOF, "[Since The Joker is] much more dark, sinister, and threatening [in TDK], his costume is very much going to reflect that." He added, "It's not going to be a suit that is tailored for him, but more something he acquired. I mean, what tailor would actually make a suit for The Joker?"

I guess this means no purple suit?

What kind of tailor would do a purple suit? Like anyone.

Now, what tailor would do a suit specially for the Joker? The one with a Joker's gun on his head for example. Really not a very smart question.

It's not even a necessary subplot. Seriously people, who the f**k wonders "who would ever tailor that for him?" when you watch a damn movie?

It was an odd question. But I'm wondering what it could be if this rumor does have some truth to it. Would it mean no purple suit?

I don't really even mind how he gets it. Tailored, stolen, whatev. As long as at some point we see a purple suit, great. But if HOW a suit is acquired, is what's making Nolan or whoever hesitant on using it...I think it's incredibly ******ed.

Nolan is takling this ultra detailed explanation of everything the characters acquire thing too far. I mean, it worked for Batman mostly, yeah, but stop it right there.

remember, Nolan loves the "real" world. This has always been my worry. When you start trying to look at things like "who would tailor a suit for the Joker", youre losing grasp at the whole idea of this Batworld. Not EVERYTHING needs to be explained in a comic book movie for gods sake.

Jett said on the BOF forums people are reading too much into this. The Joker will look like The Joker, but just don't expect something quite as tailor made just for him like what Nicholson wore.

It will no doubt be Joker, but it will be something hes acquired himself, and he won't be wearing the same exact suit the whole time. The Joker isn't going to have a uniform, hes going to have a style.

well, you cant really go around comparing what this "new" version of Joker is going to be like to the 89 Joker. Before Jack Napier became Joker he was seen in a purple suit. Whos to say he didnt have others? Also, there was more than one Joker Jack suit, he had afew different "costumes" he wore. He even had a black suit he wore when dressed as the mime. For these comments to supposedly be made about the Ledger Jokers outfit, to me, is uneducated.

I hope that all is well. The movie is great; actors great; costumes great.

You would complain about the opposite if he didn't explain certain things fully.

I like how everything is explained. I always hated how villians would build huge traps and gags and **** but got it from nowhere.

Me personally, no. Its called suspension of belief. I find thats the problem with alot of movies these days. All the "realism" if you will. I think thats one reason why I dont find alot movies entertaining anymore.

Plus, we're not talking about elaborate death traps, we're talking about simple wardrobe.

Good, this is better.

I don't really care for a purple suit, i think it's irrelevant. Most people say it is to Joker what the cape and cowl is to Batman-i don't see that personally but whatever.

I don't really like how everything is explained. If they explain where Joker got his wardrobe from i'll be like omfg. Who cares?

But i do like realism. I'd hate it if they translated everything from the comics to screen-Batmobile with fins for example, Two-Face with an exact line down his face and wearing half a suit on each side...It just looks goofy, unless you are deliberatley doing a stylized film whereby you're not aiming to make people believe this could happen.
