Boston Sports

baaaaahahahahhahahahahaha....

outscored 35-7 in the past 3 games (something along those lines)....thats quite a streak of luck.

Besides Game 3 every game was a blow out for the winning team. It was a weird 7 game series.

Dark days come upon us all. They just seem a lot darker when you've done nothing but improve over the past few years, and you start a new season like this.

I remember 1986 when all 4 Boston teams were in the Stanley Cup/World Series/Super Bowel ect...They all lost except The Celtics when they beat the LA Lakers...F the Lakers and F the Yankees.Boston is famous for starting wars.

In 1986, it was the Mets that beat the Sox.

"It goes through Buckner!!"

Buckner has been officially erased for existence.

My sister was a HUGE Mets fan, and I remember the video she bought about the win afterwards that chronicled the whole season.

That phrase and "Swing and a miss. Swing and a miss. Struck him out, struck him out." after Jesse Orasco? through the final out are pretty much one of the most vivid sports announcing memories that I personally can recall.

That was huge for the Mets. What is great about it is, that most people forget there was even a game 7!

The latter quote was from Game 7. The "Buckner" was from game 6. Whatever happened to him besides the death threats?

Well he played some of 87 in Boston, and I believe he asked to be traded. He came back to Boston in 1990 though and was absolved of all his sins.

I remember that. Buckner had to be escorted out by cops cause they thought he was gonna get shot.

Yeah I feel sorry for him. I hope he didn't actually think he "sinned" and had to be forgiven for it. They still blew Game 7. Its the same thing with the whole Bartman situation with the Cubs. I don't call that game the "Bartman game" I call it the "Alex Gonzalez Game" because right after that incident a double play ball that would have ended the inning bounced to then SS Gonzalez and he bobbled it and everyone was safe. But no one remembers him.

celtics 20-2 (what was tonights score with pistons?)
patriots 14-0.
