Steel story ramped up the action. Lex is in full evil mode, and I think it's Morrison's influence (based on how he handled Magneto in NXM) that reminds us that even though Luthor is portrayed as a humanist, that he's actually just evil. Just a big genius with a blackened soul. So that's good, and I like the SuperLex. Sobek the speaking crocogator is whimsical and it pleases me. Because of the whimsy! And DC took talking animals out of Shazam. Pffft. My new policy: Only read books with talking animals. Note to self: Buy Detective Chimp single and borrow Pride of Bahgdad from roommate. Also, re-read We3. Also, buy Duck Tales on DVD. Also, snuggle with Pikachu stuffed animal. 52 stays quality, just as it has for over 2 months now. I broke my own self-imposed rule and put an extra .5 on this score because I just felt that I had to point out that I liked it better than this week's Hulk.



DETECTIVE COMICS #828: 3/5
This issue gets a "3" from me, which means that it's average. Because I use a rating scale correctly (looking at you guys, now). It is technically good, but I don't feel that it's Batman-y enough. Beating up sharks? Some guy is a jungle warrior? Blah. This issue felt like reading an episode of Columbo, too; there was too much explanation of how Batlumbo and Riddler solved the mystery. Otherwise, the Riddler-Batman interaction was pretty good. I dunno. Dini's disappointed me these last couple issues. I hope that Joker issue wasn't the peak of his run.



INCREDIBLE HULK #103: 4/5
Hulk got laaaaaaaaiiiiid! Doin' the hibbity dibbity. The horizontal hustle. The 4-legged dance. Way to go, Green Bone Machine. Also, some other stuff. Miek and the brood were boning? Interspecies alien bug sex. That. Is. Awesome. Way more gross than interspecies superhero sex. Miek's a bigger perv than you, Hulk, and as we all know, my respect goes out to the biggest perv. Hail King Miek.

95% probability that Ronin is Hawkeye, but nowhere in the issue does it say that Ronin is Clint. Why Right when Ronin is about to reveal that he is probably Hawkeye, the issue ended, so although Ronin is most likely Clint, it hasn't been stated as fact yet so...do you really have to doubt what I said?

This is what I meant. Not that you were going to change your first guess, but that now that it was debunked you're gonna start doing the same thing you did with Cap but now with Hawkeye. It's like you're doing this out of a need to be right. Like you're going for that "SEE, I KNEW IT!!" post.

Even when I admit I'm wrong, you still have to be an A-Hole. Whats your problem? Cap being Ronin was my opinion, thats all it was I was wrong, Big deal. Havent you ever had an opinion, that ended up being wrong. This kinda stuff just proves to me that your an A-hole that simply doesnt like me, for no apparent reason. There is no way that I will start acting like I knew Clint was Ronin, because I didn't. I honestly thought Ronin was Cap, now that I know it's not him, now I'll say Ronin is most likely Clint, but I wont act like thats what I was claiming from the beginning. Atleast I have my own opinions and I stick to my guns, atleast I'm a leader not a follower. My theories on Cap being Ronin did make sense, there where people that agreed with me. But you really dont care if my opinions make sense or not, you just want to sit back, wait for me to be wrong, just so you can laugh, you are really pathetic.

I did very little of the "Guess who Ronin is..." game this time around; my vote was for Hawkeye. If I'm right, cool; if I'm wrong, meh. It's not something that I'll lose any sleep over nor a subject I've been rabidly posting about that when it comes out and I'm wrong I'm gonna look like an ass because of all the noise I made.

Everyone has their own opinions, that they coincide with other people's or not doesn't make you more or less of a leader. I'm in the minority of people that think that Nick Fury is going to be the beloved hero that's gonna look like he dies. To my recollection I was the first one that posted it. That doesn't make me a leader, it just means that IN MY PERCEPTION I posted it first. I could be very wrong, I don't keep track of every single post.

I commend you for admitting you were wrong amongst a sea of excuses, you admitted it but it's something you were aware of before and even commented in a post somewhere. Every time someone proves you wrong you keep fighting for a couple of more posts and then when you finally admit it it's in a hateful way. If you were really humble you would roll with what people tell you, it's a message board, of course people are gonna give you grief if you were wrong. Being called an A-hole by someone who gets into a lot of fights with far more people than me is like water rolling of a duck's back.

Yeah, I mean, I'm an advocate of ripping on people. I won't deny it! But it'd be nice to have, you know, at least 5 reviews on the first page of a review thread. Especially when you display 40 posts per page. Like I do. Because that's what cool people set it at.

Seriously folks, preserve the integrity of hype traditions, and review some comics. Otherwise, I'll quit posting here. And then Don McLean would write a song about comedy dying.

Anyway, X-Men Annual was pretty good. Exodus returns with the Acolytes, Random, Frenzy, and Tempo, they take over a shield hellicarrier, Exodus puts together a advanced form of Cerebro so he can find any potential mutants that might be born. Northstar and Aurura basically get debrainwashed and basically save the day, Mystique saves Rogue's life. After all is said and done the Acolytes are seen in Antarctica, Exodus enters an Ice-station and plaedges his obedience to Mr. Sinister, who says that he believes he has a solution to the survival of the mutant race.

My advice for NotJake is to break into your comic shop the day before and hope they receive their comics early. Steal what you can, start your own thread, and live happy the rest of your life. (Or, however long it takes for you to serve your sentence in jail.) Or, you can just have a laugh at our expense, figure out what you're getting, put down your Bought list and say "Reviews to come later." After all, it's pretty much what you did in reviewing just the one comic in a previous post.
