I can see how it would not take over your entire life and thereby ruin the schedule. Which is pretty much why Porter left.

I'm sure it was. Which is why I said it wrecked the schedule. That kind of art just doesn't seem to be suited to monthly comics to me.

It was hypothetical. If you work at it like you would normal art instead of allowing it to take over your life 24/7, it would wreck your schedule because you'd take longer than usual. That's what I meant.

Oh. I was thinking that having a schedule implies have a deadlines and trying to meet those while producing that kind of art can kill a man.

Yeah, but I don't think anyone expected Porter to keep up with his deadlines on that one. And, sure enough, Trials of Shazam, which started in late 2006, still hasn't ended.

Yep. I think 10 was the last one that came out.

Porter need to go back to pencil and ink and call it a day.

Yep. And, of course, since he started it out with digital paint, the artist(s) who took over for him all have to be painters as well. And none of those dudes are quick.

It's so irritating, because I think for once something isn't Winick's fault. He's usually pretty timely. It's his fault that the story sucks, sure, but...
