Yeah... though he's pretty pissed about the "ultimizing" of the Spider-Man movies...

I saw the preview for the new Marvel animated movie coming out next week, Planet Hulk. Why can't Marvel chug out a little better product? There are such amazing advances in animation; yet, these cartoons continue to look like crap. The cover of the upcoming DVD looks great; which, is nothing like what's in the movie.
I really don't understand it. When I play the Marvel video games, the animation in that is so much better. Why can't they use the same company that makes the video game animation for these animated movies? (I know, this must be tons cheaper...but, I know I'll be slightly disappointed with this cartoon, simply because it does look cheap.)

This second part of his 4-part Mysterio tale is better than the other Gauntlet stories that came before; and, it just feels like he was meant to write Spidey tales. He knows the history of this comic, and brings that history into his writing.
I see a few people complaining that they didn't view New Avengers as a Siege tie-in. Sure, it's not blatant; but, still, Bendis gives us a very important side-story that's happening outside the big event fight sequence. You simply have to ask yourself, "What is happening to the other heroes while Norman tries to take out Asgard?"
We are learning through many of these comics that Loki is taking a big role in the Marvel Universe; and, where Norman was perceived as the one in control...especially in regards to The Hood...now, it's Loki calling the shots. This is a vast history, as the Avengers originally formed because of Loki...and, Loki knows if Norman is to be successful, the New Avengers cannot be allowed to save Thor and the Asgardian's butts. Thus, Loki has The Hood in his back pocket now...he sends Hood to use the Nord Stones to get these expendable C-list heroes to keep the Avengers preoccupied...and, Loki's plans are coming together nicely.
With Adam Warlock turned into Magus...I wonder what is in the Caccoon that the Church of Truth have....have they explained that yet...did I just miss it?

They do: Spectacular Spider-Man.
Unfortunately, it looks like they don't realize it.![]()
Yeah, it is a shame this hasn't been renewed immediately. For TV animation, it really was top notch, especially the action.
I also prefer sticking to 2D animation; part of why I haven't bothered watching any of IRON MAN ARMORED ADVENTURES is because TV budget CGI animation usually looks unimpressive and not as expressive. Even the MTV SPIDER-MAN show was great for the action, but if you wanted actual emotions from your models, well, it was hit or miss.
That show had great production/direction/writing. I liked the episodes where they cross-cut either the camcorder birthday wishes or the school play scenes with the action.
I think Kelly and Van Lente's issues of ASM were pretty awesome too, I so far think the Gaunlet is the best ASM has been in awhile, and I was initially hesitant about it.Amazing Spider-Man #619

These first two issues really pay tribute to some of the classic gangster stories from the 80's, as Mysterio is setting up Spider-Man and trying to push him over the edge mentally. I love many of the old references, like to Jean DeWolff and Captain Stacy.

Wow, I almost want to read New Avengers if Bendis is treating Loki that well.![]()
Er, isn't it the only animated DVD since Hulk vs.?Plus, the story is very faithful to the source material. I haven't done a long review yet on SHH (although I did review the event, and the film, at my Examiner link below), but I'd say it was their best animated disc since HULK VS.
RASL -The long wait between issues is the only downside to this book.
Welcome to the uniquely awful writing style of Adam Beechen.Wildcats - might be dropping this. Gage's run was cool, but this issue didn't make any sense. Guess you have to read other Wildstorm books to know what's going on, which is stupid.

Yeah. He sucks and I hate him. Or his comics, at least. Beechen himself may be a very nice man.
