Sooo, my shop sold out of Cap #25.

My remaining reviews!
The Incredible Hulk #104: Average
Despite claiming certain things were awesome in Dumb World, I actually do enjoy this book. It's the only book I read not set on earth (save for 52, sometimes) and, I dunno, it's refreshing. However, nothing really happens in this issue at all. The book has been dragging a little as of late, and #104 continues that trend. However, this ish has a purpose; it shows that Hulk is happy, for once. Cool, but I kind of wish that a little more was going on. On the other hand, HULK'S GETTIN' LAID! YEAH! The ending reveals an explosion, set by...you know...someone, I assume. I really didn't get that part. Pak/Pagulyan could've done a better job illustrating the scene.
Justice League of America #6: Good
I really liked this issue a lot. Really! I thought about giving it a "great." I mean, Meltzer has these guys down, character-wise. Plus, even though this book has been moving at an unremarkable pace, it's always enjoyable and I'm of the opinion that the more character stuff Meltzer can cram in, the better, pace be damned. And action! The action is really good. Vixen, a character that I know/care about almost as far as I can throw her, has a really awesome entrance into the fray. Red Tornado gets a sweet action scene, as well. Batman!!! Oh, Batman. Meltzer displays Batman...in the Justice League...correctly! Meaning, Batman isn't on the other members' level, and he just does some useful, Batman-y things. Superman is taking the fight right to Amazo's face, so what does Bats do? He takes a laser cutter and starts going at the legs. Perfect. Attacking while an uber-villain is distracted, and in a sensible manner, to boot. It's like, the only way I can tolerate Bats in the League, so major brownie points to Meltzer.
What knocked this down to merely "good?" Well, I think Meltzer should've dropped at least one narrative voice for this issue. Benes' art is pretty good for this book, you know, big superhero action and all, but his faces are too similar. I don't really notice it from the boys' club, as they all have masks to differentiate themselves; however, Black Canary and Reddy's wife are exactly the same person. Face, hair, body. It kind of sucks. Confusing sometimes, too. I think Grundy b**tched out a little early. I mean, he did some damage to Red Tornado--the arm thing was brutal. But really, should a human in an ambiguously-weakened body (I subtract points for that, too--what's wrong with his body, Meltzer? You never say!) be able to take punches from Solomon fooking Grundy? I don't know. Seems like he got knocked around pretty good and until the arm thing, Grundy didn't seem that threatening. If he just gives a human being a bloody nose from a punch, how is he going to stand up to the entire Justice League?
How was he planning on getting the Amazo body back to put his mind in it, anyway? Didn't it just freak out and leave last issue? If the JLA can't stop it, how would Grundy? And if he can't, why not escape? I don't really get why he was so vindictive towards Red Tornado either. "We did all this...to kill YOU, inoffensive B-lister who's been blown up hundreds of times! We thought killing you would be better than killing, like, Green Lantern or something. You know, because you're the real threat to us."
I guess my problem is that Smart Grundy didn't seem all that smart to me.
NOT BOUGHT BUT STILL THOUGHT...ABOUT.
Dark Tower #2: Good
It's good! Pretty. And good. So...yeah. I think the only thing keeping it from "great" for me right now is that I have no knowledge of the source material, and as such am only reading a story that hasn't really kicked into gear yet. So...I'm expecting good things.
Haven't read Fantastic Four or Mighty Avengers, yet.
