BOUGHT/THOUGHT May 30

Yes, mere whole numbers cannot hope to express the subtleties and pathos behind my reviews!

I don't have a scoring system. That way I make people actually read my reviews.

I dont' have reviews, that way, people actually read my rating system.

I don't have either, that way people just read my post.

I hate getting books a week late, its pointless to review.

This series attempts to retcon his "cosmic mystery" origin and claims that Xavier's attempts to probe him suring the original SW revealed that he was just a mutant empowered by Terragin Mists; a Mutant Inhuman, sort of like Quicksilver is now. This somehow made him more powerful than many Elders of the Universe and caused him to forget most of his origin, and for Black Bolt to forget his existance.
As I said in my review, I don't think this is meant to be anything more than one of the Beyonder's games.

Daredevil #97 - Is there a point in reviewing this book anymore? The story is amazing, the art's amazing, I'm amazing, you're amazing, Spider-Man's amazing....Yep.

Milla looks good in her undies.

Review scores are innacurate 'tarded ways for me to judge it. As if you read fifteen words into anything I have to say you actually NEED a number.

"I think Corpy is a 'tard. I wish he would die and burn in hell forever and ever and ever. I give Corpy a 2 out of 10." Seriously, do you NEED a number after it? Unless you take it so personally that you have to take one last pot shot at a couple dozen paged book. :o

Either way, onto my reviews.

New Avengers: Illuminati:
Been reviewed to death, but why not, it wasn't actually as bad as I thought. Upon reading it, you first think this is DURING the Secret War, especially since Tony's not there, but you soon learn it's after the fact like how they've been doing everything else, so it actually works. All of the characters are presented fairly well as they normally would behave except Strange, who apparently has huge stomach aches when the cosmos is out of wack, which would mean he's always with reality sickness. Nothing TRULY happens outside of the talking Bendis loves so much, not that I'd complain in this issue. Basically, the Beyonder creates this false city that he orchestrates to have certain things happen in, which sometimes, he doesn't always remember about. Case in point, he's talking to the Illuminati, and the Hulk attacks them, and he apologizes saying he forgot it, while Galactus is attacking people in the background. Cool stuff, and it leads into SW2, which I almost wish they left alone. The art's nice, the effects are nice, the dialogue is nice, the only thing not nice is that they ARE pushing the idea that the Beyonder IS an Inhuman, as he doesn't really seem to be one to play to a part he doesn't want to play to.

My rating: A pony

Los Quatro Fantastico Ultimate
So it's the aftermath of Diablo's deal, and basically it focuses on the arc before that one, with Reed working on the cosmic cube, which obviously requires such ungodly vast amounts of energy, he decides pulling on the energy of a sun in another dimension is a good idea. (Even that sounds like not so smart to me) Either way. We see some more of Reed's dad being an ass to Reed, and Reed doing the whole "super focus" thing he tends to do sometimes. What we're left with is that all this energy pours into their world that he can't control because apparently all this energy doesn't have gravity, meaning it's extremely light, and not big and dense like he originally thought. This is confirmed when a surfboard is lodged into the wall, which is heralding the herald of the Ultimate Psycho Man, the Ultimate Silver Surfer. So those who hated Gah Lak Tus, won't be dissapointed ultimately.

My rating: A slice of pizza.

Silver Surfer: Requiem
The art is first and foremost awesome. However, we're subjected to the Surfer's typical emo-esque rant about life and death which he's really good at, and you don't feel like slashing yourself over for. The story breaks down like this. The Surfer detects a spot on his arm, so he consults Reed Richards, who tells him that his skin is basically breaking down as a result of his nervous system. The Surfer thanks him, and says that he's fine with it, as he has plenty left to do with the three weeks to a month the good doctor has left him with. World to universal tour of the Silver Surfer, here we come!

My rating: A dubloon.

Silent War Numbah Cinco.
Cool stuff right off the bat. Black Bolt wants the Terrigen Crystals AND his brothers and sisters, and he's on the warpath courtesy Quicksilver for the most part. Now, it's not like you've heard with the Mighty Avengers getting their asses handed to them so thoroughly. More like...they beat on the Inhumans until they're left with one choice, to retreat, and let Black Bolt do his thing. The Sentry basically stays out of the ENTIRE fight, hoping that by not joining in, Black Bolt doesn't either. And after Black Bolt does, the Sentry still stays out saying they got what they came for, and that they'll be peaceful, which he knows is bull****. However, the Sentry doesn't forsee the oncoming conflict DUE to it, which is that if he ended it without killing anybody, everything would've been fine, now several humans are guaranteed death by being exposed to Terrigen Mists because the President feels the Mighty Avengers lack the discipline to actually function as a unit in the first place. Medusa takes Luna to Maximus, and basically strangles the poor girl to unlock the beast Luna forsees in his mind. Which she does, and we'll see what happens from there. We know Medusa is getting the manipulation, and I kind of want to see how far he's going to twist Medusa against Blackagar.

My rating: An anwyl.

Ouch. That's cold....but pretty funny, too.

Sliver Surfer Is Such An Emo!

I keep hearing this, and it makes me laugh everytime. I don't think some of you even know what emo is anymore. If the subject matter are the concepts of life and death, then all of a sudden it's emo.

If anything, the Surfer is anti-emo. He doesn't whine about his situation at all. In fact, he embraces it. He actually finds the good in the bad and focuses on it. Hardly emo.

But emo bashing is cool these days, so people will keep reaching just so they can call something emo on a message board. Hardy-har. :whatever:

Oh, come on. A dude who wears this much eye-liner is begging to be emo-tagged:

It shows up on mine. I hate it when a joke falls flat due to technical difficulties!

Never read too many Surfer comics, oui? He goes all about regretting his days as a herald of Galactus, feeling sorry and bad about it. All the time.

I suggest reading a few Surfer comics.

I'd suggest reading the one in question. He doesn't regret anything. :o

lol A little out of context, oui? I know you read the issue, and probably just missed that he doesn't regret dying. Especially when he says that he got a chance to become "human" again, and do noble things. THIS is what he doesn't regret.

We're talking about the first issue of Requiem. People comment that he's emo. I commented how, in this one, he's not. He has no regrets. He's making the best of things.

Now you're making me confused.

He doesn't have regrets in dying.

He doesn't even make mention to anything else but his dying. Just that everything that begins must end.
