Julian Mcmahon, Jessica Alba and I really wasn't sold on Ioan Gruffudd.

The current Box Office leading movie is an example of this. How Adman Sandler is still making movies is beyond me. He must have pics of someone doing something with something not human.

Yeah I agree. I think Jessica Biel being half naked in that movie is more than half the reason why people are going to watch it.

Anybody but the idiots who wrote the first one. I like the movie but the logic and plotholes just spelled out 'carelessness' on their part.

Maybe some of the writers that worte the early TF comics.

Ahh.....so you finally saw Karma Sutra with Indira Varma huh? Good stuff huh? She is sexy! In the Bond forums there is a group of us that want her to be the next Bond girl in the next Bond flick.

I don't fully agree with that statement. If that were the case shouldn't FF2 have made more money the first movie.
SOmetimes i do wonder what the hell people are expecting when crap like Charlie's Hookers becomes succesful but then again when the sequel bombed you can sorta find peace in the fact that people aren't as ******ed as we make them out to be.

I was in Vegas this past weekend and I was playing poker until around 3:30 in the morning.....and they were showing that crap Charlies Hookers movie on TNT. I was just watching with no sound and it was just unbelievable how much crap that movie was. I mean just looking at the quality and it seemed like it should have been a made for TV movie! LOL....Thank god McG didn't direct the Superman movie and then Superman fans would have been REALLY in an uproar.

That was exactly how I felt about Ghost Rider when I watched that for the first time a few weeks ago.

I still haven't seen Ghost Rider or any of the FF films. I don't like Avi Arad and then I see the directors he gets for those films and then I know they will be crap and a waste of time and money. Maybe one of these days when I have time to kill I will sit down and watch those crap fests on cable.

I'd rather spend a year in Baghdad with snipers pointing their guns at me then watch 1 second of that movie
I want those hours back.

And if you wanna talk about a Superman uproar. He wanted Beyonce as Lois Lane.

Is it Avi who chooses the directord of the movie studio
I was under the impression that avi supplied the funding , just like a producer does. And of course defend the studios decisions .

I'm sure that they guy who funds the majority of the project has a say in who directs it, if a director isn't already picked out - just like Speilberg hand picked Bay for Transformers.

Does no one here feel that Transformers has a chance to catch Spiderman 3 this year in North America. I mean Transformers should hit 300 million in a week and a half. Could be close imo.

If TF dropped 50% every week, it will reach 300mil by the 7th week-which is Aug 19th. What do you guys think?

I think you are only taking into account weekends. TF should make anywhere between $10-$12 million between Mon-Thurs this week and another $10-$12, this coming weekend. If it continues with these type of numbers, look for it to hit $300 no later than 2 more weeks.

The drops will probably be between 40-45% here on out. The film has pretty good legs, but I don't think there is anyway it'll catch Spidey 3. Spiderman's drops were bigger than Transformers, but it's first weekend was so huge that, even with the bigger drops, it still made more money the second and third week vs. Transformers.
