And I´m sure Craig is thankful for the attention he gets, be it negative or positive, cause it will guarantee strong boxoffice numbers.

People will want to see if he´s as bad as others say and will agree or not agree, we will see.

So Craig isn´t a Calvin Kline model, so what? He´s a damn fine actor and has a good build. It´s not like Jack Black got the role.

The teaser looks promising that this will be a damn good movie and thats honestly all I care for.

And I say that as a fan who watched every Bond flick.
I´m more into the more realistic, human and emotional Bonds.

How long were people expecting Brosnan to be James Bond? 6 films like Connery? 7 like Moore? I personally think that three is enough for any actor today. Three Bond films are enough for an actor to show what he can do with the role, have some fun with it, and move on. Brosnan was a great enough Bond to be given four movies, but the series needs something new. He was getting older and the Bond he was in GoldenEye was not the same Bond he was in TND, TWinE, and DAD (all three of which weren't oustanding). Daniel Craig is a really good actor, and three films is what he should be granted.

You will see it, don't say you won't. You try and make a name for yourself by being anti-blond Bond, but you're not strong enough in your beliefs to boycott a 007 movie. You won't be so dissatisfied that you'll download the movie illegally like a pirate the day before, because you aren't afraid you'll waste your money. Deep down, you know it'll be well spent. you might have well posted come back roger moore and sean connery its not gonna happen, the only real hype with the fact that daniel craig is the new james bond is the internet. When sean connery left the james bond scene and roger moore took everyone im sure had the same reaction, keep sean connery, you never know what can happen daniel craig might just surprise us all and do 8 bond movies and suceed the likes of connery and moore.

whether or not Craig ends up having been a good choice for Bond, i'm glad Brosnan's butt is out of there... he's a poor-to-mediocre actor whose prime has passed, and the only reason he's so popular as Bond is because they turned his films into Hollywood action films and all the little kiddies have grown up only knowing him in the role...

besides that, after the way he's run off at the mouth over and over and over since he was booted, if i were one of the producers, i wouldn't be taking him back til he took that arrogant mouth and kissed my boot... and even then, i'd have to strongly consider giving him a well-deserved kick in the mouth first!

Someone with the balls to stand up to these posters who judge things that they haven't even seen.
I think Craig will be good, if not great as bond.
I mean, they screamed and whined when Routh was cast as Superman, and now he IS Superman. Bond needs something new, and Craig could be it. The trailer looks amazing, the women in the films are actually look like they have some class and self respect and aren't there just to be eye candy.
Anyway...

the only brosnan bond film i liked was goldeneye. with the other three films he did they simply made generic action films that had a character who was called james bond but lacked the class. i also felt that brosnan was too good looking and did not look tough in the role.

daniel craig on the other hand looks to be a good bond from what has been shown so far who looks much more tough while still looking handsome. he looks like he could really beat the bad guy and get the girl.

i personally cant be happy enough that brosnan is gone and craig in here to stay for at least one more film after casino royale.

I like the way Craig looks as Bond. And others that I have talked to agree with me. This is the first time I am actually excited to see a Bond film.

I don't see why people want brosnan back.

In DAD he looked what he is, a man in his fifties. I don't know why they cut his hair short because that makes him look so much older. Also i thought the clothes they dressed him in made him look older as well, a polo neck with the sleeves rolled up? what screams middle aged man more? Why didn't they just get him to grow a ponytail?

For me this is the reason he could not come back.

I thought Brosnan was a great actor, worthy of being tied for the best with Sean, but the movies the producers placed him in just didnt have the great story to go along with them (except Goldeneye which is one of my favorites). However, Brosnan is getting older, in his 50's now. I know Roger Moore managed to do it, but there were many critics of his age too. I think Brosnan had his day. Now its time to give it to someone a little younger that can carry the role for the next few years until its the next guy after that's turn.

I think you will find Craig to be more like the second coming of Connery.
Connery was not my favorite Bond. But I think the hard-core Connery fans will like Daniel Craig. I've read reviews from fans and critics alike who seem to think that Craig will shape up to be the best Bond ever. We shall see.

Limiting the number of Bond movies per actor has a lot of things going for it.

1. Given the time it takes to make the movies it would prevent the actor from embarrassingly aging out of the role - i.e. Roger Moore - who really only looked young up to MoonRaker , and only looked fit up to "For Your Eyes Only", where he was allowed to play an older Bond. This isn't the sixties where they were churning out a Bond movie every year. it now takes 2 - 3 to get a Bond movie made.

2. A limited number of movies, decided in advance would allow the filmmakers to decide on a character and story arc to develop and build through those 3 movies. Fleming did that with the books where Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's Secret Service formed a rough trilogy with Bond vs. Blofeld.

3. You could also treat the limited films as a stand alone set piece without their only internal logic and consistency and not be so mired in the previous film history. That doesn't man that you ignore it, it just means that you can deemphasize it, and also you can't use it to justify artistic choices - as in we had to make this one bigger and more spectacular than ...-.

4. You could also do almost a restart on every series of films, stylistically if not content wise.

5. Finally, this would temper fans reactions to the changeover in Bond. I liked Brosnan's Bond and thought he had 2 very good movies, one excellent one and one sub-par one, but I was disappointed in how the producers handled the decision to change the franchise. It would have been much more palatable if it had been plainly stated that DAD would be his last Bond and that the franchise would move on from there.

Brosnan stay the hell away!! After seeing the movie I can honestly and easily say that Craig is the better Bond in every conceivable way. Craig has done something that Brosnan never did and that is, give us James Bond and not James "I'm rolling me eyes at this nonsense" Bond.

craig daniels was a great bond. i didnt think i was going to like him but he brought back a grity, and tough bond back.
