Sequels Bryan Singer would love to return to X-Men universe

Great news.

Singer should do X-men 4!, not a minor film.

He created this franchise, so he should end it.

Ill hate if he ends directing Wolverine 2. I dont want another Wolverine movie (ok, theyll do it, but I hooooope not with Singer).

so my vote:

SINGER FOR X4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

How old is Singer..? Let him have a whole new trilogy -- why not

definetly!!

just imagine a sequel directed by him and better than X2.

just imagine it........

:wow:

oh boy this is going end up with this as another x-film disguised as a wolverine movie. ughhhhhhhh. Let him do the wolverine movies to get it out of his system first.

Before he touches the X-Men movies plus. other wise that's what's gonna happen. other wise I don't want him doing any more.

Let him get his wolverines fill first.

but i'd rather have some esle if thats the case cause of how it's gonna end up if he does get his wolverines fill. ughhhhhhh.

It depends on what kind of X-Movie it's going to be. If it's just a sequel with Wolverine appearing again, than I'd rather have him work on Wolverine 2. If it's X-Men First Class, then I'd like to see what he can do without someone like Wolverine stealing the spotlight.

First class, I'm not worried about.(yet) Unless he has his hands in that too. But if he 's doing x4 I'm just saying both first class and any sequel x-men movies start and fallowing x4 should be wolverine free. until like up to the number planned for the spider man movies. wolverine has his own franchise i don't want to see him for a very long while.

And seeing singers and fox's obsession with wolverine i say he needs to have it out on that franchise there and keep it there. His outlet is all on six claws from what i've seen. So let him have his outlet there. and he'll have better time to flesh out get to have the others have equal spot light and get to know them better. if he can't do that then he shouldn't do the next x- films other then wolverine. I'm for giving people chance's but he's too iffy there. And I had my fill of the x-men films not being enough about the organization.
or having the other characters have equal enough time.

I'll just wait for the script. But if it's the same as usual then I can't support this. I'll just wait and see though.

Singer would be a good choice for the WOLVERINE sequel. Logan was the character that Singer and the writers he brought on-board for the first two X-MEN movies really 'got'. For a full-blown X-MEN movie - be it a reboot or a sequel - give me Joss Whedon as writer/director.

A whole Wolverine Movie of this quality would be great.

He sayed he likes Hugh Jackman... man, FOX should just get him, i like the style of X1 and 2

Hugh Jackman, Hugh Jackman....

why all the love???

the xcast is amazing! great young actors and old too... why Hugh gets all the glory?

I hate it.

Singer did the 'team' aspect pretty well in X1 i thought... Hope he gets First Class, and give us more Cyclops and jean!

Good on you Singer for answering the prayers of the fanboys. This is the first time I've considered an X4 in nearly five years.

Hellfire club maybe? Someone younger than Sigourney Weaver as Emma please? Thanks!

To be completely and utterly honest, this news is like music to my ears, the sweetest music possibly in fact, if Singer returns, I will actually get excited abut X-Men movies again.

I only really want him to do X4 though, the other movies can be directed by other people, but give Singer X4 and lets wipe X3 out of existence!

This is good news. Forget another Wolverine movie. I want another X-Men movie!!

The only way I'd want back in is if Cyclops was miraculously brought back. I know in comic mediums no one is ever dead for real, but an X-team without him....meh.

^ Whats the point of bringing back Cyke? Singers just gonna have Wolvie take a ***** on him again and all the other characters for that matter. Please No More Bryan Singer, the only films he should direct are Wolverine Spin-offs, they really should have let him do the Wolverine movie, it would have been great.

But I must note that if Singer does do X4 I will be seeing it as many other non supporters of Singer will.

I hope Singer can fix the mess that was X3. I'd even be open to him taking it in a different direction and pretending that X3 never happened

You can't just forget that X3 happened. It happened. It could have been better. Move on.

Why not? Batman Begins created a new Bat trilogy that didn't lessen the two good films and made amends for the Schumacher messes. A fourth X-film could go in a new direction and help improve the standing of the franchise in the eyes of the general public.

Warner Bros. waited 8 years before giving Batman a reboot. Hulk got a reboot after 5 years but that only had one movie. X-Men, however, has had 4 movies from the same universe. Fox can't reboot and they can't just forget what happened in them. Sure, they could make an X4 and make it new and different, but you can't forget the previous trilogy.

The general public is more than likely perfectly happy with what they got. In their eyes, they don't require any standings to be improved or they wouldn't have signed an $800million cheque to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

It's only in the intensity of the fanboy bubble that these nitpicks and keyboard fury continues.

The real world doesn't give a flying fart about what you perceive as a life or death issue.

LOL, life or death issue? I'm really curious as to where you got that I felt that way in my post.

And as for the general public's view of the X-Men franchise, just look at RT's ratings for X3 and Wolverine. 56% Rotten and 36% Rotten respectively. As for the BO, X3 did about the same domestically as X2, but Wolverine dropped about $50 million from X3's gross. And their grosses were no where near the level of Transformers, Spider-Man, or the Bat films. And, anecdotally, I know among my friends (none of them comic book fans) they hated the last two films and have no real interest in them anymore. That these films were bad and generated bad word of mouth has, unfortunately, damaged the franchise. Bringing Singer back is a good step because it can help bring the level back up to X2. But it will be a hard task with some of the main characters (such as Cyclops) gone. That's why IMO a new direction might work. But hey, if Singer can make something of what were left with after X3, all the power to him.

No interest in seeing any more movies that claim to be X-Men movies but are in fact just the adventures of

WOLVERINE

and his little mutie sidekicks.

Hugh Jackman is one of the worst things to ever happen to fans of the X-Men who aren't mindless Wolverine fanboys. I'd love to see the series get a reboot so some REAL X-Men movies could be made. But a big FU forever to FOX, Singer and Jackman for Wolverine 1-4 and I'll always hate them all for the disgusting lack of respect shown Cyclops.
