She was cast in Vaughn's Stardust as the leading lady (Claire Danes role) but had to drop out because her husband decided that then was the best time to work that every ten years that he does. :argh:

Yeah, Season 5 is really great and my favourite as well. Ever since I saw the series for the first time that season really stuck with me.

Season 5 is my favourite.

I think 7 was good though.
S5 is my favorite too. S7's right in the middle of the road on my season rankings, but do like it quite a bit. Thanks in no small part to Drew Goddard, who wrote or co-wrote all my favorite episodes from it.

Conversations with Dead People was phenomenal.

Yes indeed. That episode, Selfless and Lies My Parents Told Me are all in my top 10 favorite episodes of the entire show.

Normal Again in season six was incredible.

Smallville ran the same episode in their season six and it was ... less good.

Joss called it the ultimate postmodern episode. It was really intriguing. Though the whole series was pretty postmodern.

Though fairly early in the show, the season 2 episode "I Only Have Eyes for You" is one of my favourites.

You bring that up as if every single genre show in the last __ years hasn't done an "It's all just in your head!" episode. I'm pretty sure that's a long list.

Sawyer i am sure that i missed many interpretations.

Who else has done it?

Smallville did some terrible imitations of other shows or movies, i remember that awful Matrix episode that was pretty much stealing lines from that film, but it didn't work nearly as well because they took the lines, not the context.

Anyone thinks we'll ever get a reunion tv movie or show for Buffy? The plot has been being continued in the comic book, but if i'm not mistaken, the current events take place in 2007/2008, if there was a reunion now, there would still be around a 10 years period for the comics to cover.

Smallville was the worst.... Can't believe it lasted so long. Good to see SMG and Alyson buried the hatchet, I guess.

Mine too. I love how much emotion and character development was woven into the plot, as well as the complexity they gave to it. It's one of the many Buffy episodes that show fantasy can have just as much (if not more) depth as any serious drama.

S2 actually has quite a few episodes like that, which is why its my fav season (behind S5). "Lie to Me" and "Passion" come to mind.

The big problem there would probably be how noticeably the vampires have aged since then. I love James Marsters, for example, but I saw him at Wizard World a couple months ago, and he looks more like Giles than Spike now.

I'm always on the fence between two and three. Five would be third though. I just dislike Dawn's introduction (she grew on me of course) but Glory is such a great villain. I might be the only one, but I saw a little bit of Glory in Ultron in AOU at times.

And a part of me would love to see a reunion. Whether it be a movie or a mini-series (this would be really cool actually) It'd be interesting to tackle the idea that these once young people are now adults and much older. I know not everyone might agree with that but that seems to fit a story for Buffy for me. I don't know how you'd solve the Spike and Angel problem but perhaps they don't even need to be in it. It can just be about the Scooby's like it originally was. I love Spike but I think we could all agree great Buffy episodes exist without him or Angel.

Just anything for Nicholas Brendan to get his **** together.

I wouldn't included Angel or Spike in a reunion. Definitely not Spike...

I totally agree. That they reversed the genders in the reenactment is a good example of how the show subverts stereotypes and norms while developing its characters.

SMG seemes to like smaller productions, she turned down the role of Rogue or Kitty Pride, one of those two.

That would be weird if she played Kitty considering Buffy was based on Kitty.

She was cast as Rogue but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with Buffy too.

if Veronica Mars is able to produce a movie that were funded by fans. Wouldn't Buffy TVS be able to do the same thing? I wonder if there has been any attempt by fans to start funding for a new buffy movie?

Yeah. Like too fitting. Haha. It's very on the nose, but I would dig it.

From what I understand, the original producers of the movie (the Kuzui family, I think) still have ownership and/or final say over any Buffy on film, so they would have to be the ones to push it through.

he wouldnt need to be a part of it or they could just come up with some story explanation the changes. Its not that hard. At any rate, I doubt a movie would ever happen bc SMG is over it. All the actors are older now and I dont think I really care to see those characters revisited in their 30s/40s. I think the ship has sailed on a reunion movie.

Yeah, behind S5, S3 and S2 are my next faves. Those are BY FAR the 3 best seasons of the show, imo. I LOVED Glory and I agree, I saw quite a bit of Glory in Ultron. Maybe that's why I enjoyed him so much. Though I will say Glory had a bit more menace to her.

And I don't think a reunion film would be a good idea, but I agree with the notion that IF they did it, it should be without Spike or Angel. Like, they can allude to them and their whereabouts, but there's no way either of those guys can pass as immortals any more. And frankly, though I enjoy them both as characters, I always preferred Buffy when she was single and her drama wasn't focused on a guy (another reason I love S5 so much, we got single Buffy for the majority of it), so I agree it would be better if it just focused on the original Scoobies.

That said, what I want to see more than a reunion movie: Fray!!! As a movie or a show, don't care. Just give it to me.

Glory had the best build up. The Scoobies had to throw everything they had at her in The Gift. Buffy climbing that tower was so intense. I agree that single Buffy is more enjoyable. Season 3 is high on my list because of Faith and the Mayor drama. I really loved the episodes where Faith and Buffy switch bodies. I can't remember which season that was.

They need to do something with Fray. It's just too good to leave alone.
