Fantasy Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Vampire - Part 3

Wasn't there some talk of a Giles "Ripper" spinoff from Joss sometime back, too?

It still irks me that Eliza denied us of the Faith spinoff we all deserved

Me too, although I did kind of like Tru Callling. Ive been trying to find out if there was an actual script for the Faith show for years.

Just bring it back as an animated series. Then it doesn't matter how much James Marsters has aged and you can just replace the cast members that are busy (David Boreanaz) or worthless, drunken criminals (Nicholas Brendon).

Yeah, i think something along the lines of a animated series could work far better.
But i will honestly say that im okay with the comics...except season 8.:woot:
I really liked the direction season 11 has gone and all that.

Would be sweet to see Buffy return like X-Files or so...but i can see why it might not work and all that.

That seems a bit harsh on Brendon, too Famicommander. Did he actually commit crimes? I might have missed something, but all I heard was he got caught being drunk in public a couple of times and trashing a hotel room.

That's all bad, totally. Seems he's just a bit of a screw-up with a booze problem than anything worse though. Hell, everyone in George freakin' Clooney's circle of friends says he's a total boozefreak too, that guy probably just has the money & influence to keep it quiet if he goes too far, y'know? Nick's done basically nothing of note since Buffy ended, it's a pretty easy "where are they now?/how the former-successful have fallen" story.

That whole Dr Phil thing was ridiculous, too, of course someone's going to storm out when deceived into the show that way.

SMG refuses. She claims she is a frail old lady.

I see other possibilities if they wanted to explore it (another spin-off or maybe even a new Angel season). But once again, I don't think we NEED one.

Buffy is a franchise where you don't need to a hard reboot. Slap a new Slayer in there "Tiffany the Vampire Slayer " and boom! New show. You can keep the established history from Buffy/Angel but just come up with a reason why there is 1 Slayer again.

Only if Whedon really wanted to do it. When he phones stuff in it really shows.

was it true that SMG was making like 250 K an episode during the last season? Seems Crazy since the show was on UPN. Though she was supposedly making 75 K an episode in season 5 and I recall she got a huge boost for season 6/7

-In 2010 pleaded no contest to vandalism, resisting arrest, and two counts of battery of a police officer
-In 2014 arrested for malicious injury to property and resisting or obstructing police officers
-In 2015 arrested for grand theft after trashing a hotel room and refusing to pay for it
-In 2015 arrested for trashing another hotel room, one month later
-In 2015 arrested for public intoxication
-In 2015 arrested and charged with third degree robbery, criminal mischief, and obstruction of breathing for attacking a woman in a hotel room. He choked a woman, stole her car keys and destroyed her cell phone.
-In 2017 arrested for assaulting his girlfriend in a bar. She already had a protective order against him prior. He pulled her hair and yanked her around by her arm in public.

He attacks people (mostly women and cops) and destroys property. He's a criminal.

Spent the day rewatching Faiths entire arc from start to finish, probably one of the best character arcs for a reoccurring character on tv.

Wow, hadn't even heard about the domestic abuse stuff. :( That's awful, really disappointing.

Yeah, definitely seems like a pattern, more than a few AA meetings are going to correct.

I’m back on to my viewings and I’m up to season 3 and it has gotten a ton better. Faith is fun, angels back  and the episode I just finished was really really good.

I don’t know the title but it’s the one where Spike came back to town, willow and Xander finally got caught and Cordelia took a tough tumble.
I really enjoyed the scene with Joyce and Spike sitting at her coffee table. Lol

Buffy’s got these killer test scores and everyone keeps telling her how she could pretty much go anywhere she wants and do whatever and in a way, it’s like slapping her in the face cuz she knows that she can’t outrun her destiny even though everyone seems so keen on dropping it onto Faith for a while.

Lover's Walk is the ep, and yeah basically any Spike/Joyce scene is gold, lol. I also love the whole Cordelia death fake-out they did there.

Yeah that was great. It was a good reminder, that and the beginning of the next episode that these are still high school kids and they can really get hurt

I’m watching The Wish now and man, I wish Harmony would get punched. She’s great at showing the parallel of how far Cordelia came though. She was Harmony.
I recognize the Asian friend from the first Bring It On Movie
... And Anya just showed her real face haha. Commercial break but Cordelia just made a wish and I guess she’s a wish granting demon, hence the title. Rest of so should be interesting

The Wish is a classic. And you just met one of my favorite characters on the whole damn show. :D

Good to know. I don’t think you’ve steered me wrong on this show yet

The Master! Nice to see him again. He was interesting.

I don’t know what’s weirder: xander and willow as vampires or them as a couple. That was so weird to me the whole time. I never saw the spark. Just an epic friendship.

This episode is pretty good so far though. The last few I’ve seen have been pretty good

Lol, you just reminded me that you've actually met TWO fave characters this ep. Sadly, one of them we only ever meet again one more time. But oh, what a time it is.

And yes, the Willow/Xander thing was...weird.

I needed a whole Wish-verse series or mini series. Vamp Xander was HOT and I enjoyed him/Vamp Willow together. Imagine seeing her and Drusilla interacting...

Who was the other? Faith? She’s been kinda absent lately. I don’t expect her in this episode because she doesn’t come to town without buffy dying and al

But man, wishverse is crazy. Everybody died. Cordy died like it was nothing. Angel, Xander and Willow all dusted and that last minute of Buffy vs Master

Good so. I’ve watched four tonight. I think I’ll have to take a break.

No I meant another character that was "introduced" this ep. All will make sense when you get to "Doppelgangland" later this season. :woot:

I’m so amazed that you know all these eps by name. I never paid attention to that before really in any show

Oh I only know the names of my faves (or the ones I hate most), the others I just take two seconds to look up on IMDB, lol.

But with S3 being my 2nd favorite season of the show, I do know a lot of those titles by heart.

I love the wish-verse as well

thats why this show is so good, they went with the craziest ideas and gave fans everything they could have hoped to see in a tv show, never a dull moment, always interesting and cool ideas, you can definitely tell Joss took a lot of inspiration from comics, with alternate realities, even dark willow kind of like a dark phoenix type deal, seriously one of the best shows ever made and just never gets old
