Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Vampire

They should've gone with a bracket of some sort. Having to choose one episode out of 20 is just too overwhelming for me.
Agreed. With that said, I went with The Body.

My favourite ep is actually 'Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered' which made me a fan but is not an option so I voted for Chosen because I just love to see the gang win out in the end and Buffy get to walk off into the sunset...or wake up sane in the asylum after 7 years, whichever you prefer.

I voted "Restless." My love for that episode knows no bounds.

I hated Restless when it aired. As season finales go, to me it was the worst. It felt like such an odd choice and way to end the season

I LOVE Restless for just that reason. It's fascinating to go back and watch it now, picking up on all the things you missed first time around

Yeah that was a really difficult decision for me between Restless and The Body.

I gave it to The Body in the end because it is IMO the one episode that clearly shows how talented every single person involved in the show is, and is just so immensly powerful.

But I love Restless a lot, especially after reading the book 'Why Buffy matters: The art of the vampire slayer' which has this in depth analysis of the meaning of things in Restless that we may not have noticed. Really really fascinating, and there is just so much there it's like poetry.

Had to pick Passion, hated to see Jenny go but the after effect of Giles is what makes this episode phenomenal.

I can see you hovering about the thread Sawyer, c'mon, pick one and tell us what you picked.

That's why it felt so refreshing to me! It was like a moment of reflection after the big battle, and it introduced the more existentialist leanings that shaped S5 (which I loved), taking the show to whole new depths, imo. Plus I'm a big sucker for character introspection and foreshadowing, both of which this episode was chock-full of. Not to mention, it's the only dream episode of anything I've ever encountered that's ever truly captured what dreams are like (the randomness of the subconscious firings, the way you participate even when you don't know what's going on, they way you absorb certain things happening around you into your dream, etc), so it got extra points for that. It is by far my most-watched Buffy ep, ever. I always tend to put it on when there's nothing on TV, and it never gets old. I just love the absurdity of it all.

I picked "Amends." My favorite episode (which wasn't featured) is "Doppelgangland." It was definitely nice to see Alyson Hannigan let loose as both regular Willow and alternate vamp Willow. And the writing was funny as hell.

Some of the episodes on the list are good or excellent, but I prefer "Amends." I like seeing Joss go warm and fuzzy when he wants to.

Yes such a lovely ending but you're right, I was surprised no Dopplegangland

What do you mean? Dopelgangland is featured in the site, you can vote in the episode if you want

You're right. I didn't notice it before, so I changed my vote.

"Amends" is still a great episode, though. It'd be #2 or #3 on my list.

mine was passion, I honestly did not expect Angelius to go that far. And Giles reaction was pure heart break.

I'm looking at pictures of Nicholas Brendon and his twin brother. It's freaky. I've seen twins before, but these two are literally like the same person twice.

His twin brother was in that ep where Xander was split into two diff versions of himself.

Easy choice for me - "Hush" is my favorite episode ever.

Tops my list as the most underrated Buffy episode. :o:up:

Best part of that episode to me was...

Spike: I thought I told you to piss off with this bloody camera, yet here you are again with that thing in my face. Would you sod off before I rip your throat out and eat y...

Andrew Wells: Uh, Spike? The light was kind of behind you.

Spike: Oh, right. Uh... What, is this better, then?... I thought I told you to piss off with that bloody camera; here you are again with that thing in my face. Would you sod off?

:hehe:

That one's definitely somewhere in my top 20. It's my 4th favorite of S7, right behind Conversations with Dead People, Selfless, and Lies My Parents Told Me.

People are always so down on S7, but to me it has some of the best individual episodes. There are only one or two aspects I didn't like about that season, tbh, and I still preferred it overall to S6, S4 and S1 (though 4 & 6 also had a couple of my fave episodes sprinkled in).

In fact, it's kinda funny with this show - in general, I find that the seasons with the weaker arcs are the ones with my favorite individual episodes. So the greatness of the show kinda balances out across the seasons, lol.
