Burn Notice

I just didn't feel last night's episode, nor am I feeling Jessie.

They are trying way too hard. Fi swooning over him, Sam constantly reminding us what a loose canon he is. Even the character going on about how he wants to "catch all the bad guys." They are just trying way too hard to make him a bad ass. Plus Coby Bell's chemistry doesn't really exisit with the rest of the cast. Hopefully it gets better, but I can't help but feel reminded of Moon Bloodgood's character and how badly she sucked.

Jesse's alot better already than Moon Bloodgood. I don't love him, but I don't hate him either.

Mike's rescue of him from Khan was awesome though

I'm not sure about Jessie yet, some of the scenes worked for me and others didn't, I also thought Turner was one of the worst characters Michael has played, the voice was so forced and wooden.

The way Michael extracted Jessie was a cool scene though, but sometimes I wish Michael would let Fi do it her way. :D

So it seems Jessie is going to be joining the team, do you guys think it'll be perminent?

Yeah, I was thinking that the other day. I love the way Mike improvises to keep everyone alive, but just once I'd like to see them go on a full out assault with the sole intention of taking out the enemy.

But Mike doesn't like killing people unless it's absolutely unavoidable, and in an urban setting with law enforcement to worry about, it's very, very rarely absolutely unavoidable.

Oh, I didn't mean going on one of their regular operations and killing everyone to a man. I have a feeling that someday something is gonna happen to Maddie, and that would ignite the bloodlust in Mike.

I think Jeffrey has run out of good stock characters to use. That voice he used in the last episode was freaking horrible. I couldn't even believe that freaking Chinese Triad couldn't see through that ****.

I hope they wrap up this Jesse plot quickly. Like I think Mike should get an opportunity to get back in but give it back to Jesse instead of himself. And that's it. No more Jesse.

My guess is the people who burned Michael are the same ones who got Simon set free.

I hope Jesse and Michael get into a fight to the death when Jesse eventually finds out Mike burned him.

I like the idea of Jesse. He creates good conflict within the group that isn't old like the conflict between Fi and Sam can get. The flirting between Jesse and Fi might get a little stupid and immature, but it could also show new sides of Michael and Fi.

I hope Michael and Jesse have a cool fight.

Donovan on twitter said this about the character he was on Thursday:

Thank you all for our biggest premiere ever!!! Tonight, a new character I create. One of my favorites. Guess who I imitate? Hint. An actor.

Hint. # 2. He won an Oscar playing a writer.

For all who answered PSH CORRECT!! This thursday. I direct. Check it out.

It was Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Oh, I totally would've guessed Nic Cage. He played a writer in Adaptation, right? I would love to see Donovan's impression of Nic Cage. :funny:

Now that it's been revealed, I guess I could see how he was doing a riff on Hoffman, I just don't think it was very good.

And with Coby Bell credited as part of the main cast, I think he'll be sticking around for a while. I do hope he starts to fit in with the rest of the cast. It's tough 'cause we've developed a very strong dynamic between the main four actors, it's hard to introduce another player as part of the core. he's basically going to need this whole season before we see if he'll be a good fit.

I think he was introduced specifically because the main trio works together so well now. Before, we at least had Sam and Fi at each other's throats all the time, but they reached a level of mutual respect out of their shared concern for Mike last season. So now they've brought Jesse in to create a new X-factor within the group; he wants to kill Mike, he thinks Sam is a washed up has-been, and I'm 99% sure he wants to bone Fi and Fi might actually entertain the notion the next time she and Mike fall out.

Who wouldn't? =P

But anyway, I was REALLY surprised to see they added a new cast member. But I'm actually pleased with their choice. I think it adds a nice little dynamic to the group. He's sort of the rambo/tank type personality and I can see it creating a lot of conflict (and cool moments) for the entire group during jobs. I don't think the show needed a new character, but I like the choice they made just the same.

I know, right! She could still stand a put on a few pounds, but there's still that air of sexiness, like she'll hop on you and ride your joint 'til it snaps in half! :wow:
