Burn Notice

Gilroy came off kind of gay last night. :o

he sounds like Jeremy Irons.

I really hate Gilroy... I can't stand the way he talks. I hope he goes down the way of Strickler.

Enjoyed the episode, was nice seen Doaks ( Dexter) again as well as the villian from Space Mutiny :hehe:

Haha, yeah, when Bolo showed up, I was like, "Oh s***, it's Doakes!" :hehe:

It was nice to see Sugar again. I really liked that they brought this seemingly idiotic one-off character back and actually got a lot of depth and a poignant story about family out of him.

I hate it when shows don't hit it for me like they used to. Gillory is so... WEAK to me. I can't feel the threat...

I agree, the whole Gilroy arc is lame already. Some effeminate "psychopath" who is in love with Michael? YAWN.

Perhaps if they actually show him doing something, anything at this point, then he would be more of a menace. As of right now, he's a nothing character than could be gone in the next episode and no one would miss a beat.

I think Victor already had a similar arc and Gillroy is no Victor.

I agree. Gilroy's been pretty boring so far. They really need to show us how much of a threat he is rather than just having Michael or Sam tell us constantly.

I don't know...I really liked the part where he "retired" the thief in their group because he broke his leg. If they showed him actually doing it, wouldn't that make him overly generic as a villain?

Exactly. We don't need to see Gilroy. The actor has a great presence, you just know that he means business.

I don't see that. I just don't get an intimidating feeling from Gilroy at all. I know I'm supposed to because of all the stuff we hear about him, but it doesn't come across to me.

what if he grew a mustache and twirled it everytime he said something to michael? ;)

Then Burn Notice when Sam's not around would finally start to catch up to the hilarity of Burn Notice when Sam is around. :hehe:

I have no problem with Gilroy he is just a more effeminate version of Carla.

I really wish Jon Hamm could guest star. Him and Mike together/against each other would be so awesome.

I didn't know that TV worked on the same rating system as films.

It seems fine to me. It's about a spy working within the confines of civilian life, after all. He can't kill very often or the cops would be on his ass, and USA isn't going to have tons of gratuitous sex or anything.
