Whoo-hoo!!!! Not that this wouldn't have happened, but great news!

USA Network has given a go-ahead for seasons five and six of "Burn Notice" -- continuing a noticeable trend of cablers showing confidence by reupping shows before having significant ratings data to consider.

Season four is still two months away from launching. But USA says the series -- the No. 1 show in cable -- will continue to be a ratings juggernaut and wants it to remain in the lineup for years to come.

Network execs say seasons five and six will run a minimum of 15 and 18 episodes, respectively. Season four is shooting in Miami and season five will begin production in about a year.

Bring on the burn! :up:

It probably helps, that with all the ratings BN is bringing in, it is relatively cheap to produce. So the execs figure that even if it goes bad in 2 years (it won't), it'll still be an earner.

Man, that's a lot of white. I like it, though. It's just too bad Sam never gets any of that sweet poster action.

That's only because people would start making love to the posters in public if Bruce was on them. :awesome:

hopefully theyll kill off fi this season

:cmad::cmad:

Any word on when season 3's hitting dvd?

Yep! Gotcha covered:

Fox Home Entertainment hasn't formally announced it to retailers yet, but thanks to a full-page advertisement in the latest issue of trade journal Home Media Magazine, we're happy to tell you to expect Burn Notice - Season 3 on DVD this coming June 1st. Arriving just in time for the new season to begin airing, you'll get 16 episodes that include guest stars such as Moon Bloodgood, Otto Sanchez, Jay Harrington, Nicholas Lea, Josie Davis, Debi Mazar, Tyne Daly (who of course co-starred in Cagney and Lacey with Burn Notice co-star Sharon Gless!), Chris Vance, Danny Trejo, Tim Matheson and model Nikki DuBose.

The ad also promises "a more revealing look behind the scenes", hinting at at least one featurette for extras. Cost is $49.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$69.98 SRP in Canada. Cover art for the DVD is shown below, taken from the trade ad. Keep in mind that it might be subject to change.
