BvS BvS: Early Tweet Discussion Thread (NO SPOILERS) - Part 1

I really hate all this NDA crap. Consumers deserve to know in advance whether the film is good or not.

It's far enough. No one wants some dick splash spoiling the movie.

I guess even though it's not exactly against their NDA's to vaguely reference their reactions, some people are just being ultra-cautious.

Wait, why is this dude allowed to tweet out an emoji but not the guy at Buzzfeed?

You could make the argument an emoji isn't language.

In this day and age there's a responsibility on the viewers to avoid spoilers.

It is in the NDA. Explicitly states no social media reactions.

He's not "allowed" he just used a loophole and hopes he doesn't get busted

That defeats the whole purpose of film. You watch a film not knowing if it'll be good or bad. That is the magic of it.

And you will unless you're somehow watching it before the embargo lifts.

Yeah, but people have already purchased tickets ahead of time.

Purchasing tickets ahead of time is their choice. Just like pre-ordering a game. They aren't forced too and anyone who wants to wait for reviews can.

I have the same issue with the games industry and their embargoes.

If consumers want to spend their money before reviews are released its their own choice. They don't need to be babied or treated like bloody children.
I pre-ordered my ticket. I'm not going to whine like a baby about it being a waste of money because it was my decision. I could have easily waited until reviews were up, checked the ratings, then decided whether or not to be tickets. I didn't and that is on me.
You can wait to buy tickets until after the embargo, you can buy them now, or you can choose not to buy them at all. That's your decision.
WB is obviously doing as much as they can to prevent spoilers and most people probably prefer that to getting reviews a week before the film even comes out.

For me, when people who hate Man of Steel gives BvS a thumbs up it makes me nervous lol.

Oh Gawd, the paranoia here is palpable. :lmao:

I don't think that someone who hated MOS liking BVS means that the people who liked MOS won't like BVS. I just think that perhaps the elements in play here will possibly be a bit more appealing to purists than what we saw in MOS.

Not only that (though I hope so) but that the movie itself just ma be more successful in terms of structure/pacing/dialogue and character etc.

Guys, BvS just listed on Critics Choice with 100/100

http://www.criticschoice.com/search?s=Batman+

Remember, we don't know how many people have voted yet, but we know that at least 2 of them have and have given it a full grade since the ratings only show up once there are at least 2 votes.

Honestly JMC, you keep talking about money, what bothers you more in seeing a bad movie:

1) The lost 2.5 hours of time, really 4 hours with overhead;
2) The lost ~$20;

What if those people who liked MOS hate this movie but the haters of MOS like this one ?

It would be mixed reviews again. :oldrazz:

It's really starting to seem that Team BvS pulled it off :yay:

I wonder if people had an issue with embargos and NDAs when it came to Star Wars?
