Can I just say, I know people were kind of weird yesterday about what you were posting but I find your posts insightful and interesting. Not sure why they freak people out but that too is fun to watch :)

Thanks. I think people take neutrality to be negativity. We live in a very bipolar world where things need to be PERFECT IN EVERY WAY or THE WORST THING EVER. I look forward to dissecting this movie with y'all once embargo lifts

Internet bragging rights.

Honestly, if the internet wouldn't of blew up the way it did, people wouldn't have cared about RT or the reviews of MoS. The internet has now become a huge place for the crazies to hang out in. With these properties comes division between brands and wars follow. It's human nature of things a certain group may enjoy. Overall, it's just bragging rights or references that support an argument that fits the criteria of their argument.

Even people who like MoS spin things in the positive light.
Essentially. I've disliked how the internet culture has shaped some people to think a certain way. People take up this mob mentality and others join along to be part of the "narrative". It has made expressing your honest opinion a nightmare.

He's mega entertaining, I know he's gonna destroy the film, but I won't feel bad, I'll get a kick out of it. It's his schtick. I mean, you can't took a picture of yourself like that without a bit of self-awareness.

Idk, he's generally a Snyder fan. He's proud that he's one of the few Sucker Punch fans in existence.

But he despised MoS.

GA left scratching their heads eh? Spoon-feeding is the norm right now (we all know which movies I'm referring to) so God forbid people have to apply their brains in a movie.

You're reading that wrong. That review isn't referring to an intricate or complex story, but to the geekiness of the movie. That's what they feel GA won't fully understand.

I'm out. sleep time. It was fun reading the great reactions. I want to feel the same way.

Let them have their fun.

They're defeated. Attempting these types of things means they are offended and upset people are liking it, so they need to go to these lengths to dampen the mood.

It won't work. The people behind this smear crap are nothing but roadkill.

Yea I know she was referring to the Easter eggs. Which is weird if you think about it: they go see a CBM then get confused about CBM elements in a freaking CBM?

Lets face it, a majority Deadpool's jokes and references went over the GA's head yet that movie has had excellent WoM and great legs, and even more so for an R movie. Quality-wise it was just fit for a one-time watch: Yes, I did see it.

I see no reason why the "high geek-factor" in BvS will detract audiences.

She didn't say it would detract audiences, she only said that there may be points where they're left scratching their heads

A lot of people don't even realize, that's exactly how it all started. I'm convinced that the term "Nolanite" was coined on these very forums, because of the Nolanite/Burtonite wars. And you're right, nobody was innocent there.

Same goes for the people who have pounding down the Snyder Kool-Aid for the past few years.. I really do think it's the DC way, sadly, for people to go past fandom into the realm of religious devotion. But it's all pretty damn silly when you think about it. :funny:

I'm POSITIVE the term was coined here. I was here when it happened. Right in the thick of it. Friendships were forged, enemies made, late nights whiled away in the original Batusi Lounge. Woof.

It's asinine to compare BvS with Nolan's Bat-movies, since it's basically a team-up movie. If they really want to compare ...then, they should wait for next solo Affleck-Batman movie and then compare it with Nolan's Bat movies.

BvS is not a solo Superman movie or a solo Batman movie, it's a team-up movie and we cannot compare it with any other past DC movies.

I'm a huge comic book geek (obviously, as we all are) but even comic book geeks like myself don't get every reference to every comic book film. I never read one Deadpool comic...but went to see the movie. In fact, I only read anything associated with Superman and some criteria of the Justice League; depending if things are good reads. Every other character is scattered if I hear a comic is good but every comic nerd doesn't read everything or every character.

That's what I like about comics. There's always something NEW to learn if you want to dig. Nobody will ever know everything.

Well if that ain't a true statement, nothing is.

Reading that quote in here sure sounds like it's a borderline iffy case.

Anyway. Back to more reaction tweets. Go go!

:funny: So the Nolan comparisons have begun? Already?

I've never had mushroom pizza but I've had and loved cheese pizza. I tried mushroom pizza but did not like it as much as cheese pizza.

According to his argument, I'm not allowed to compare the two. And I don't understand that at all.

I think comparisons will inevitably be made, insomuch as it's inevitable that any two movies featuring some of the same characters will be compared. And it will be perfectly natural to have a personal preference. At the same time, I do think in many ways it's going to be apples and oranges.

Even Nolan and Burton's (or Donner and Snyder's) films are apples and oranges in terms of what they're going for, but of course everyone's going to still have a personal preference.

Right, specifically the general audience. Not us nerds. So that's enough for me haha I don't care if the GA is confused by things. Of course they're gonna be when it comes to CBM if they don't read the comics.

You have a level head. I like you.

The few rational people who are fans and not fanatic make SHH worth coming to.

And I'm guessing that one of those points is the Knightmare scene.

Yep. That was in the trailers right? So if it's not a spoiler I will say:

The Knightmare sequence felt like a GL yellow ring/Apocalypse pyramid scene/Thanos reveal mid-end credits sequence but shoehorned into the middle of the movie. Wouldn't have even made sense as a credit scrne, but then it wouldn't have detracted from the pacing.
