I simply don't think Kinberg gets the source material. Like Kitty is one of my least favorite from the bigger X-Men, but I wouldn't waste her. And this is gonna be Kinberg's 4th film in which Storm is appearing and so far, the biggest role she got in a Kinberg script is X3... Well we know how demanding Halle was during those days. I doubt Shipp would be vocal for a meatier role.

I agree, Storm is being wasted and I'm still waiting to see why she was so angry in X1 and X2. Despite them trying to make a coherent universe this late in the game, I still don't see the dots connecting.

I hate to sound annoying by bringing in comments from a longtime comicbook reader such as my dad, but another character that was badly wasted by Fox was Angel, and it's been the second time now. His arc into becoming Archangel is something pretty big in the comicbooks; and as my father recalls he had a bit of a fitness trainer thing going in the comicbooks at one point? Or at least that's how he recalls him at his 70 years of age.

They don’t have to connect the dots anymore. Dark Phoenix takes place in a different timeline, based on a different series of events. Besides, I think it’s pretty easy to rationalize why Storm, or any persecuted member of society, would be angry at those who hate and fear them.

This look actually works in my eyes (my favorite next to the X-Men Apocalypse and X2 looks), if she has the blue eyes, it would be perfect.

Apocalypse didn’t give her white hair... he just gave her a push to boost her which developed her hair sooner

Agreed. I get the intention that Bryan had, but I would much have rather her have long white hair then it cut to a Mohawk (with blue eyes added) to show her being an disciple of Apocalypse as opposed to Apocalypse giving her white hair. Because for with all intents and purposes it's implied Apocalypse is the reason for Professor X and Storm's look which makes no sense.



As for the funeral pic, those are only one scene. I am waiting for some trailers and clearer pics with Storm before I start saying if this was just her Deadpool 2 look, or if this is the look also used for Dark Phoenix. I hope it's the later (Since a few of the elements in the Deadpool 2 cameo like Cyclop's vision, Quicksilver's Nirvana t-shirt, Beast are evident of it being from Dark Phoenix and not just for the cameo).

The hair color is awful. Im not a fan of the platinum blonde look. The only time her color looked good was X3

I much prefer the colour in X2 when there was cool lighting so it looked more white. I’ve never been a huge fan of the dark root because it looks like she’s dying her hair white

Yea but ppl on here were insisting they changed the Dark Phoenix wig with the Deadpool wig. Goes with the ongoing narrative amongst fans where sometimes they’re faced with insurmountable evidence and still hope (?) for the best. Optimism can be a nice thing though but sometimes you gotta weigh that against what’s out there.

I wonder why they would have a different wig for Storm in the Deadpool cameo.

I would say they were implying that Deadpool is set further on in the timeline than the Dark Phoenix story but I can't believe they suddenly care about timelines and continuity.
