In the past 15 years I've seen Thor dead and de-powered. This does not interest me at all.....

Me either. But some of the replacement Thors have been all right. I'll stick with the comic for this new thunder god dude in the hopes that he's one of the good ones...

I'm not sure what makes the continuing Thor-related commotion more irritating for me...my increasing sense that it will all prove to be much manipulative ado about nothing, or the fact that this is all going on with reference to a character now being written so inconsistently in relation to any of his previous incarnations that I'm not sure I'll be much able to care what happens to him, by the time the dust settles on any of it.

Re-reading current TMT, the thuggish top notes are definitely getting to me.

TMT is supposed to be first...still based in Fallen Asgard, from which Odin leads everybody back to Reformed (Fortress) Asgard in Fear #1.

So since Thor is getting replaced and he was barely with the Avengers for more than 12 issues or so, for those craving for some Thor + Avengers like Iron Man, Nick Fury and the others the Ultimates #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic is out, it contains all kinds of awesomeness such as an Angry Thor and a Bear who loves Beer:

Eh, Marvel had several other options other than creating a whole new character. It's going to take forever for people to accept him, plus he has large shoes to fill. Look what happened to Sentry.

I say Beta Ray Bill should've been recalled from space. I mean, how many more Annihilators minis are any of us really expecting? They're all right, but it's pretty clear Marvel's short-lived cosmic resurgence is on its last legs since they killed off its major stars. Plus, Bill would actually fit the gruff, angsty jerk mold Fraction clearly wants for his Thor. Plus x2: he's a giant f***ing space horse, and that is always awesome.

Killing Thor again is DUMB! He just came back in 2007, his movie was a hit, he is finally one of the favored characters in comics(and finally getting the credit he deserves), so they kill him to bring in a leprechaun with a magical pixie stick. This better be extremely temporary or they are gonna lose a reader.

Annihilators was okay. Not as good as the cosmic line was before they canceled the two ongoings. Keep an eye out for Annihilators: Earthfall, though. Bill's finally coming back to Earth.

keeping an eye out for it is easy, GETTING what I order FROM them is another thing.
