I could see it too. Halle's X3 Storm seemed feisty. I wouldn't want to see it though. She should use all her cool powers instead of just a hand-to-hand fight. Though a combination would be very cool.

I wouldn't mind seeing some hand-to-hand combat out of Storm in this next film, but it's not a priority for me either. I actually thought Halle did well with Dania Ramirez in X3. I just don't want them to hold up Storm completely with those fighting sequences. That was the annoying part about The Last Stand: instead of Storm creating huge weather-altering phenomena, she was completely occupied with Callisto in many scenes.

As a result, the best stuff involving Storm's long rang destruction got left on the Editing Room floor. Fist-fighting is for Logan. Storm is a "Goddess" and I'd rather see her creating feats befitting that reputation...kinda like X2's Tornado/Jet Chase scene which was all kinds of epic.

Having Halle Berry back as Storm is better than no Storm at all I guess, but it leaves me a little disappointed. I feel that her character has so far been largely dull and uninteresting. I figure the perfect X-Men movie would feature Storm and Cyclops battling for control of the team, but alas, nothing like that has shown up in the previous movies, and Storm just lets Cycl Wolverine call the shots. A new actress playing Storm from the past would have given me hope that a new characterization would be done. Berry's return, whether through her own previous fault or the writers/directors, gives me the feeling Storm will be just like how she was in the trilogy. Present, but nowhere near the full potential she has as a character.

I couldn't agree more. That's why I'm advocating for a complete reboot of this franchise. They really need to clean house and start over completely.

A younger Storm? Absolutely. Why wouldn't it make sense? First Class already showed a teenaged Storm in Cerebro and that film was set in the 60s, so...yeah.

When was that confirmed? I don't recall that at all. Just because Halle was in her 30s doesn't mean that her character was. Halle is in her 40s now and doesn't look much different so it's not entirely a stretch that the Storm we saw in X1 wasn't in her 40s...

They are likely ignoring the easter egg of sotrm during cerebro sequenze just like they largely ignored easter geggs of name on stryker's computer and human beast on TV In X2.

I'm terrible at guessing ages, but here she looks about 10 to me. She'd be 21 in 1973, and in her 40s-50s in the OT. Seems legit, since black women age well, so I say bring on 70s Storm!

First Class was never Intrended to be reboot.

It was eather not them or Matthew Vuaghn just decided to throw easter egg of storm In there contunity be damned.

I'm totally fine with waiting until an FC 3, set in the 80's, to see teenage Storm, Cyclops and Jean.

I think this movie will be busy enough as it is! And that way at least it fits everyone better agewise.

My patience for you constantly censoring and "policing" posters on expressing their thoughts about rebooting, Avengers, etc., is really wearing thin.
