will "SPIDER-MAN 3" make more then the previous two?

I think the chances are great... I mean you just can't see the teaser trailer alone, and not be the slightest bit interested in what the hell is up with that black suit!... also it's the third movie of the most popular superhero franchise out there. Just think when the theatrical trailer hits on Nov.17'th! What do you guys think?

I think it will do ok but a lttile less than 2. If it makes more I will be really surprised with all the other high profile movies coming out at the same time.

I'd say that 3 will break $400 easily. It is hugely anticipated (more so than PotC3 unless the previews make it amazing.).

I'd say $400-450 mil for 3.

HAHAHA more than POTC 3. But really now SM3 is coming out in the summer with some of the biggest movies of the last few years. This is not Lord of the rings where they had no big budget films in its way. SM3 will be up agaist hige movies that have made lots of money. If anything it will be like what happened early this year people kept saying Superman returns would make more money then pirates and it didn't. I really think the same will happen to SM3 will it make less than SR no it will make around the smae amount as 2 I think maybe a little more but like I said I will be skocked if it gets anymore. Which is really pushing it this summer.

I agree.The first one made over 400 million domestically and 400 million is a huge number for domestic alone.Next year is loaded (Pirates 3, HP5, Shrek 3, ect) and it possibly could hurt Spidey's box office.I definetly see Spidey making more than the second movie domestically.I'm not sure about worldwide since I forgot SM-2's worldwide gross.

The coolest part about the release of Spidey-3 is the fact that it is given a WORLD-WIDE release on the same day... Neither spidey1 nor 2 did, so that's great... I can't wait to see the numbers for the first weekend

Many people think that spidey 1 and 2 are too "soft", both in presents and in tone (I LOVE THEM!!!)... well, if there's something that seems to be different in spidey 3, compared to the first two films, it's THE DARKNESS that it looks to release! That will apeal to many many people... I truely believe that this film will make more then the previous ones! I wont say it'll be the best yet, cause I need to see it first. But it really looks to be so ****ing cool!
