The Avengers Can we all agree CAP'S costume was HORRENDOUS?

Evans was great...but i need to know the name and location of whoever came up with the design for that costume.

He looked VERY VERY stupid in it.

How is it that his costume from over 50 years ago had a better design and look?

Well, it was designed by Coulson, Cap's Uber Fanboy. I'm betting Coulson wrote a few fanfictions where he was Cap's sidekick too.

Same here, it seemed out-of-place but I thought it worked well in the movie.

I agree, in my opinion Cap's definately look better in the actual film itself.

Yeah, i thought it worked much better then it should. The only issue was the helmet. The suit looks iconic without it. Hope they go for the super soldier look in the sequel though.

The cowl was horrendous, the rest was fantastic. Loved it when he fought without the cowl, he looked badass!

Agreed. But I can see the costume changing for the next Cap movie and the next Avengers, making a mix between his old and new costume. I just don't want him to use the Super Soldier costume, I want him to keep the helmet.

You have no idea how much I agree. They made everything right in his solo movie just to give us this atrocity in the team-up.
they have to rework this suit from scratch. lose the ugly white rank stripes, never again consider to go "futuristic" on the gloves and boots (my biggest complain, they looked awful), remodel the cowl/helmet and put a fu**ing star on the back.
and no, no SS costume, that's even worse than the costume we got.

I loved the suit, don't like the TFA one much at all. I really hope they keep the same suit for Cap 2, all they have to do is fix the cowl, add a star to the back, and complete the red stripes all the way around and BAM, it's perfect.

The TFA suit looks like a homemade, makeshift suit which suited WWII. With a highly advanced organization like SHIELD, the uniform should look much more sleek and functional.

And that super-soldier suit? Hell no, I would cry if they did that. Captain America should look like Captain America.

All (or mostly) blue defeats the whole purpose of the Star-Spangled Man looking like he's wearing a flag.

I *do* agree that he looks MUCH better without the cowl at all; and in the MCU, there's really not much of a reason for the hackneyed old "secret identity" baggage....especially for an Avenger, who's a very public superhero.

For future showings of Cap, I'd be happy with the current (Coulson) costume; lose the cowl; and add the scalemail top.

I always think most comic book superheros looks are pretty outdated and outlandish and the movie needs to connect with the general public (who are not comic book fans).

Lose the cowl, and modified the looks to be slightly more modern

Most of them are but so far the reason why Marvel has the Ultimate Universe is to update each character's looks/origins/ etc.

cap's suit is HORRIBLE. he looked far more 'real' in the first avenger. they need to change the suit for the avengers sequel

The costume itself looked fine...it's the helmet.

Like someone already posted, he looked more badass without it on.

And yeah...loose the silver stripes thinggy. It served no real purpose.
