Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

cap is my fave and will always be, so i was just a tiny bit bummed out about his screentime. but the russos know what they're doing so i'm stoked for what they have planned for him next!!

i loved that shot of t'challa and steve leading the charge

dude it was such a nice callback to both "Winter Solider" On your left and his panther tunnel run chase in "Civil War" . Cap's superhuman speed was visually pleasing to see how fast he is

It's unfortunate Cap didn't get much of a role, but I liked the stuff he did have. And his entrance got the biggest reaction at my screening. I also loved Chris Evan's facial expressions during the ending; it really sold (and reflected everyone's) disbelief of the situation.

Same here.

I wish we got another scene of him and T'Challa together. Discussing a battle strategy. Or simply the 2 of them kicking butt together.

Captain America is easily my favorite MCU character, and my favorite superhero period. I was totally satisfied with his screen time here. This wasn't HIS movie.

Exactly, Cap is my favourite as well, but his reduced role here really fit, especially right after Civil War. He's easily had the strongest solo trilogy, which culminated with him being the main character of what was really Avengers 2.5. He didn't need as much focus here. It also felt appropriate thematically with his arc of no longer being worthy to be Captain America and going into the shadows. It made sense for Tony to take more of a leading role because of how influential the Battle of New York has been on his arc in the MCU. Tony also needed redemption after the ending of Civil War, in which he was essentially a villain.

They didn't really do much with Cap. Not even a "battlefield speech", or a
"We have to fix this at all costs" rallying moment at the end of the film.

That was disappointing. I would imagine he'll be more the focal point in Part II, sort of like Iron Man was focused on more in this one.

Was Evans wigged for this film? I’m always shocked at how good the wigs or fronts are in these films. ScarJos especially in Winter Soldier.

Cap went through a lot even if his screen time and dialog wasn't as beefy as others but... I think his experiences and the emotional fallout will play a big part in his character and arc in A4.

Think about who and what he lost the last few years. The whole reason for the dissolution of the Avengers and the one link to his past is gone. New allies and friends? Gone. There is only so much stoicism a man can put up as a front.

I loved Steve's prescence in this film. I felt hope and safety with him even if it was doom and gloom. I love what he said to Ross "Im not looking for forgiveness and Im way past asking permission. We're here to fight. If you get in our way, w'll fight you too."

I expected Cap single line: "We lost..." I believe it should be there...

Considering what happened near the end of the movie, I expect him to be a more central focus in A4.

I was expecting that too. It would have been a good parallel to the end of the first Avengers.

latest

But "Oh, God..." works better for me anyway. It drives home that all hope is lost and Steve is genuinely frightened.

Cap and Black Panther running together be like this

Loved Cap when he first showed up because as soon as everyone saw him show up in my movie theater people were cheering at the top of their lungs at seeing Steve again for the first time since Civil War...as soon as he first showed up you knew s*** was about to go down real fast

Steve in his Nomad costume he looks more like a badass here compared to his red, white and blue get up add that the beard is a nice touch as well

For A4, we better get something of what he's been up to.

I think we more or less got that answered with him, Sam and Natasha more or less being fugitives but staying under the radar not wanting to draw attention from the government who would no doubt still be looking for them

I love the little moment with Cap right after Edinburgh when Vision says "thank you, Captain" and Steve looks hesitant for a split second. It's probably been quite a while since anyone has called him "Captain". I hope in A4 we see him accept and embrace the title once again.

I mean after the whole Civil War incident it would make sense why Steve would be hesitant to become "Cap" again especially when he has been living all this time as a Nomad with Sam and Natasha going from place to place

Yep, exactly. I was kind of expecting more of an arc and resolution for Steve's identity crisis in this one, so it'll be interesting how they choose to go about it in A4.

Looking forward to him having a bigger role in A4.

We better see Cap and Thanos talk to each other in A4.

It's one thing I didn't like. Thanos was quick to know who Tony was, but I found it odd he acted like Steve was a nobody, while back in the first Avengers, Loki was quick to recognize him as "The Soldier".

Different circumstances, I guess. Thanos probably has an idea of who he is, but Loki only knew who he was because Hawkeye told him everything about the Avenger Initiative and what SHIELD was planning.
